Big news after board ‘make approach’ to bring multiple Champions League winner to Arsenal
Some stunning reports have claimed that Arsenal have made an approach to try and sign Sergio Ramos this summer window
Ramos was at Madrid for well over a decade and won countless trophies on his way to becoming one of the very best defenders in the game, but his contract troubles at Madrid have now meant that he is back in the headlines.
It is believed that he could not agree a new contract with Real and that has led to reports that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be interested in trying to get a transfer deal done as they seek to bolster their squad just that bit more.
There have also been reports in the media that the likes of Chelsea, PSG and even Juventus are all also very interested in signing the Spaniard on a free deal, but now reports on the Metro have suggested that Arsenal have made their moves to try and get a deal done
The Gunners have been keen to recruit a new central defender before the end of the window and Brighton’s Ben White has been made their top target, with reports the Gunners Arsenal have had two offers for White rejected so far.
Arsenal, however, are at a major disadvantage as they are unable to offer the 35-year-old Champions League football, the reports adds.
If the reports are true and the Gunners have actually made an offer to try and bring the world class Spaniard to London, it would be a very smart move from the club to make
They are in need of adding a leader to the squad, a bit of experience and a top-level defender that has achieved it all, so even though Ramos would just be a short-term solution, he could be a very good player to sign until the Gunners got back into that Champions League next season
