Arsenal FC News: Coach sends big Mikel Arteta message and makes bold prediction for Spanish boss

Steve Round has hailed the impact of Mikel Arteta since the Spaniard became Arsenal manager at the end of last year.

There were many top managers linked with a move to the Emirates just before the Christmas season, as Unai Emery failed to do the job that many wanted him too, but in the end the Gunners hierachy decided to make a move and bring back former hero Arteta.

Arteta has been working under the guidance of Pep Guardiola over the past few seasons, who is easily one of the best coaches in the game right now, and felt he was ready to take that next step in his management career and guide Arsenal back to the very top of the game.

Yes results have not been fantastic, and some of the performances have been well below the level that many fans had been hoping for, but the Spaniard has brought a sense of belief back to the club and many believe that he will be challenging as early as next season.

Arteta made Round one of his assistants as he took his first senior managerial job and Round has hailed the turn around that the Spanish coach as brought back to the club, claiming Arsenal had turned the corner since Arteta came to town:“It’s a fantastic club with a top manager,” Round said as quoted by the Hartlepool Mail.

“Hopefully we have turned the corner and we are starting to move forward.

“We’d got some momentum going, obviously it’s all been put on hold now and we’re just waiting to see what happens.

“It’s a brilliant club and I’m delighted to work for the manager who I think has got the potential to be one of the very, very best.”
