Arsenal attacker Willock tells team-mates he wants summer Newcastle United deal

Arsenal’s Joe Willock has told his teammates that he wants to remain at Newcastle United for another season, according to a report.

Willock, 21has turned out to be a decent signing for the club in their quest to stay in the Premier League.

Newcastle have now won two and drawn one of their last three outings in the Premier League, a run that has allowed Bruce’s charges to open a nine-point gap ahead of Fulham in the final relegation spot.

And amid talk that there are a few clubs ready to try and get Willock on a more permanent deal from Arsenal in the summer, reports on the Sun website have claimed that the Toon will be looking to open talks with Arsenal about a permanent deal

Now Football Insider says he is enjoying his time there, and Because of that, he has told teammates that he wants to be at the club next season.

And The report adds that Willock believes that his Arsenal future is closely tied to that of Martin Odegaard.

Bruce recently opened up and admitted that he is hoping to keep hold of the attacker in the summer.

“We would love to keep him here,” Bruce told reporters on Goal when asked about Willock’s future. “He is the type of player you’d love to build your club around.

“Whether we can or not I’m not quite sure.”

Should the Toon keep Willock?

Willock has played a big part in helping Newcastle pull away from from that relegation zone, but for the majority of the time he has spent at the club, he has not been that impressive has he?

He is a god player to have in the squad, but he is not a player that the Toon should spend £20-25 million on trying to sign.

Arsenalfc are no fools and will demand big money in the transfer window.
