Arsenal boss Unai Emery has message for Gunners fans after eight game winning streak!

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has admitted he is not dwelling on the sides winning run and wants to keep moving forward.

After making the move to the Emirates last summer and spending over £70 million to revamp the squad, Emery started the new season in poor fashion and all the optimism he brought in the summer was quickly wiped away by the players poor performances.

However, his tactics started getting through to the players and is not on an eight game winning run, playing some great football and are looking like serious top four contenders.

But Emery is keen to look forward to the short trip to Fulham this weekend rather than looking back on previous results.

“Usually I don’t look behind, every day I’m looking at the next matches – what’s in front,” he said on the Sky Sports website.

“For me, whether we win or lose, every match is giving me a lot of information about how to improve. Every coach wants to win, but it’s not easy to do that.

“For me the challenge is every day and every match – to look back to the last match is not good for us and not for me.

“My only focus is on Sunday against Fulham, to get three points to continue going up in the table.”

Here is what we think on the Gunners current run.

Emery brought in the likes of Sokratis, Lucas Torreira, Mateo Guendouzi and Bernd Leno in the summer and they have made a real impact on the side as their presence has meant the players that were already their had to step up their game.

He is a top manager that has a proven record of winning things at the very highest level, he just needed time to get the team playing his brand of football and the results have followed.

Arsenal have signed a great manager and it would not be a surprise to see them do more than just get back into a top four spot this season.
