Arsenal wants to announce the signing of £42M star Next Week
It has been claimed that Arsenal could announce the signing of Bologna star Riccardo Calafiori by this time next week.
After an impressive season for Bologna and then impressing at the European Championships for Italy – Arsenal made the decision to make the Italian star one of the clubs summer signings.
There has been many reports in the media over the past few weeks about him making the move to London – with reports that terms have been agreed, the player wants to make the move to the Emirates, but the fee is holding up any announcement being made.
But journalist Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, ARSENAL may announce the arrival of the Italian this time next week.
“I think there’s just some final details to be thrashed out. Calafiori isn’t in a position to be there to be unveiled yet anyway. I would say in a week maybe we will see some proper progress on this one and an announcement,”

Arsenal fans dont care what is holding up the signing of the Italian star – they just want the deal announced so the club can move on and add a few more players to the side over the next few weeks.
Calafiori is a solid enough player that could add some more depth to the side – so he will be a good signing in that aspect – but he will not be joining to be a regular starter – ARSENAL already have two of the best in the Premier League.
As we said – he is being signed to add some more depth to the squad – to help cover injuries and suspensions etc – so Arsenal dont want to overpay for a squad player.
