Arsenal can sign 15-goal star for bargain – Midfielder ‘tempted’ by move – Arsenal can sign Brazilian for £60m
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –
Unhappy ARSENAL star Emile Smith Rowe could be tempted by a move to Aston Villa, according to reports.
A couple of seasons ago – Smith Rowe was a member of the squad that Mikel Arteta loved to play on a weekly basis – but a series of injuries and some big signings by the Gunners means that he is no longer part of the side.
That led to many reports in the media that West Ham and Chelsea are interested in a potential deal for the man over the summer – And the Hammers even contacted the Gunners over a potential deal for the player.
But despite all the rumours and despite all the transfer speculation – the decision was made by the Gunners to keep hold of Smith-Rowe and the player seemed happy enough to stay and fight for his place in the side.
However – he has once again struggled to get any real minutes in the side this season and there has been some reports in the media which have suggested that Aston Villa are now ready to make a move and try to get some kind of deal done.
And if you believe the words of Transfer expert Dean Jones, the England star would be tempted by a move to the Villians – he told GIVEMESPORT: “Smith Rowe to Villa would be an interesting one to test out because he’s still not getting a look in at Arsenal.
“He could look across at Villa and think it’s pretty exciting. He could be a bigger part of it there than at the Emirates.”
Smith-Rowe is a brilliantly gifted star that will have to get used to sitting on the bench if he stays at ARSENAL – he is not better than what starts on a weekly basis.
If Arteta wants to keep hold of the man then he will stay – but there are clubs out there that are willing to give him a starting spot on a regular basis – so it will be his decision to make.
DOUGLAS LUIZ PRICE SET –
Arsenal are interested in signing Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz in the January transfer window, but they will have to pay big money to get a deal done.
Luiz was heavily linked with a move to ARSENAL in the summer window – but despite all the speculation and despite all the rumours – the Gunners were unable to convince Villa into letting him leave and he stayed put, and he is having a very good start to the new season.
However – rumours are back in the headlines that Arsenal will make an offer for Luiz once again – in hope that he is interested in making the move to a Champions League club and a side that will challenge for trophies.
He has recently earned a recall to the Brazil squad and there has been alot of speculation that the Gunners will once again go back in during the January window and make a move for the star.
According to Caughtoffside. The deal at the moment looks complicated as Luiz is an important part of Unai Emery’s side and would demand a minimum of £60m to let the Brazilian leave.
However – amid the speculation boss Emery is desperate “to keep him” at Aston Villa, He said: “He’s playing very good. He’s improved a lot, his commitment is amazing.
“I am very happy with him and I want to keep him of course. I think he’s happy with us.
“He’s coming on with his national team. And his performance like today was amazing. I want him.”
DO ARSENAL NEED LUIZ?
He would be a very good option to have in the side – he would offer Arteta something different. But with all that midfield quality that ARSENAL have, right now they do not need him.
BARGAIN PRICED GUIRASSY –
Arsenal could make a move for Stuttgart star Serhou Guirassy as an alternative for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen
Reports in the media that ARSENAL could try and make a move for Victor Osimhen in the January window, a man that they wanted to sign in the summer window and a striker that is easily regarded as one of the best in the game.
He has been in contract talks with Napoli for quite some time now, but has been unable to agree a new contract as the Italians are playing hard-ball and do not want to offer him the kind of deal that he feels he fully deserves.
However – it has been revealed in recent days that Osimhen is closing in on signing a new contract with Napoli – meaning that it will be very difficult for the likes of Arsenal to get a deal done for the man, and Guirassy is now reportedly on the list.
The 27-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga this season with 15 goals and is only behind Harry Kane in the scoring charts of the Bundesliga.
Couple that with his astonishingly low £15.1m release clause and it seems certain that offers from the likes of Arsenal will arrive in the January window and take him to that next level in the game.
However – ARSENAL will not have it all their own way as it has been claimed that Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in a potential deal for the man.
Speaking last weekend, Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeness did not rule out the prospect of losing Guirassy in the January window.
‘In football you can never exclude anything, so I won’t do that here either.
‘I think he feels really comfortable. Of course, I hope he stays with us for a long time, just has a good time with us. But with him and with the others, it is never possible to exclude things.’
