Gunners legend Lauren claims Arsenal ‘can sign’ £25 million Carrasco this month, on one condition!

Arsenal can sign Yannick Carrasco this month if he lowers his wage demands, claims former Gunner Lauren.

Carrasco has been heavly linked with a move to the Emirates over the past few weeks after it was revealed that he is looking to leave China and head back to the big Leagues of European football, alerting a number of clubs to a possible £25 million deal.

But Unai Emery admitted earlier this month that funds are tight and any incomings would likely be on loan, and while Carrasco is on astronomical wages in China, Lauren believes he could be a realistic signing for his former club if he’s willing to take a pay cut.

“Carrasco is a very good player that could offer a real presence going forward for Arsenal,” he told bwin.

“He proved himself at Atletico Madrid and had a good World Cup.

“He’s got the ability to beat a player and has good feet.

“If Carrasco seriously wants to come back to European football for the benefit of his career, I would imagine he would need to drop his wage demands and join Arsenal.

“Carrasco is still young, but if he wants to challenge himself then he can’t afford to stay away from the top leagues for much longer.

“He won’t be testing himself in the same way in the Chinese League and it could affect his chances of reaching his potential.”

Would Carrasco be a good signing?

Carrasco is a decent player that should be playing in Europe and not China, but Arsenal need a few world class players if they are to challenge for more than just a Champions League spot over the coming seasons.

Arsenal could get a deal wrapped up, but not for the £25 million that he is currently going for.
