£25 million bargain! Arsenal told price to sign world class defender Hysaj this summer
Reports have claimed Napoli will allow full-back Elsaid Hysaj to leave the club at the end of the season for just £25 million, alerting Arsenal to a possible deal.
With Emery looking to spend some serious money during the summer transfer window, there has been some speculation in the media that the Spanish boss is seeking to add some world class defenders to his squad, with Barcelona star Samuel Umtiti high up on the shopping list.
The French world cup winner has been topped to leave Barcelona at the end of the season as the Spaniards seek to add Ajax defender Matthijs De Ligt to the side, meaning there may not be any space for Umtiti to play on a weekly basis.
However, despite all the transfer speculation surrounding the future of the Arsenal target, Barcelona have admitted that they have no intention of selling the big powerhouse at the end of the season, as he has a bright future at the club.
And according to reports on the TMW website, they could make a move to try and sign Hysaj in the summer after Napoli set an asking price of just £25 million for his services, half of what they wanted last summer.
Arsenal lining up a move for Hysaj would be the right choice for Emery to make, as he needs a world class defender to come in and help get the Gunners back challenging for more than a top four spot, as fans want to see the club winning the Premier League and Champions League titles.
The full-back has proven that he is very capable of handling himself at the very top of the game, something Emery also needs, and his versatility at the back means that he would be able to cover a whole host of players at the back.
And the fact he would just be on the market for just £25 million means he would be a bargain and a risk worth taking. But there is a number of clubs that are also tracking Hysaj and the Gunners may have to spend more than they are willing to pay.
