Will Arsenal fans welcome possible summer signing of £65 million rated La Liga defender Carlos?
Arsenal has been linked with a move for Sevilla defender, Diego Carlos, but would he be a good signing?
Liverpool may have one of the best defences in the game right now, but there is a feeling that Jurgen Klopp is not completely happy with his back-line and will look to improve that area of the pitch when the summer transfer window opens up, especially as Dejan Lovren looks set to leave.
Lovren may be a big part of the Liverpool side, but there is a feeling in the media that he is not trusted by Klopp and the German coach will look to sell on and bring in an adequate replacement that can do a much better job, someone like Carlos.
However, they have been linked with a move for Carlos for a while now and reports even suggested that contact had been made about a possible transfer deal, but with the £75 million asking price becoming a problem, they have so far failed to progress.
Now a report from Spain via Eldesmarque has claimed that Arsenal may be interested in a possible deal.
There has been some big news over the past few days which have revealed that David Luiz is all set to depart the club after not being offered a new contract, with a return to Benfica on the cards for the Brazilian.
And that means that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will need to spend some serious money in order to try and bring in a few signings that will improve the squad and also help replace the void of Luiz if he does leave.
However, that £75 million asking price will be a huge problem for the budget-looking Arsenal and they will need to try and get that fee down before they can even discuss a possible deal.
If Luiz does leave the club, it will be a huge loss as he has been impressive over the past few months, but it would be a shock to see Carlos make the move as he is well out the budget of the Arsenal.
But saying that, there is a reason why Liverpool are keen on Carlos and that is because he has been impressing.
