Arsenal close to agreeing deal for impressive £60M valued star

It has been claimed that Arsenal are now very close to wrapping up a deal for defender Ben White.

ARSENAL have been working hard over the past few months to make sure that some of the clubs biggest and best players are tied up to new contracts to try and end all speculation that they could be leaving the club.

His existing contract has just under three years left to run – but there is an understanding at Arsenal that the versatile defender should be rewarded, and talks over new terms have now begun.

And the Gunners are certain they can reach a swift agreement with the 25-year-old. He will follow teammates Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard in penning a new deal, according to the Football Insider.

Should an agreement be secured, his renewal is expected to be finalised in the coming months as a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Arteta is a “huge admirer” of White and sees him as a key first-team player for the coming years.

Since his move from Brighton back in 2021 – White has become one of the most important players in the side and a man that Mikel Arteta can really rely on, even if he is playing out of his preferred position.

It is easy to see why ARSENAL are keen to make sure that he is signed up to a new contract, is committed to staying and helping the club get back to winning that Premier League title, he really is an important player.

So, he will fully deserve that new contract when it is officially wrapped up.
