Arsenal close to stunning swap deal, Fernandez confirms Arsenal transfer interest, Arsenal interested in signings Auba’s dream partner, Coach tells Arsenal target will make January move

Arsenal interested in Dembele, Arsenal close to Eriksen deal, Fernandes confirms Gunners interest and Szoboszlai to make Jan move in Arsenal roundup…..

Arsenal target Dominik Szoboszlai is set to quit RB Salzburg in January, according to the Austrian giants’ boss, Jesse Marsch.

Arsenal has axed Mesut Ozil from their first team after the German lost his creative touch and there is massive feeling in the media that he will be sold in the coming transfer window as the Gunners will seek to get him off that wage bill.

But Mikel Arteta is still in need of a creative midfielder and have been linked with a move for Houssem Aouar over the last few months, but with his £54 million asking price alot more than what Arsenal would like to pay, they have started looking at other options.

And Szoboszlai represents a cheaper alternative to the Frenchman, with reports in the media suggesting that Salzburg would be open to letting the player leave for just £40 million in the coming windows

Recent reports claim Arsenal have already opened talks with Szoboszlai regarding a move in 2021, and are set to do battle with a host of European giants – including Bayern Munich – for Szoboszlai’s signature.

Hungary boss Marco Rossi has predicted Szoboszlai will move to the Bundesliga over the Premier League, and Now the player’s Salzburg coach, Marsh, has predicted a January move for his star man.

Asked if the Hungarian ace would likely leave in January, Marsch told Futbol podcast: “Yes. The reality is that a guy like Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to have many suitors this winter. He’s an incredible talent.”

Arsenal are close to signing Christian Eriksen in a January swap deal, which will see Granit Xhaka head the other way

After making his name at Tottenham and in the Premier League, Eriksen decided that he needed to leave the club in order to fulfil his true potential and maybe add a few trophies to the cabinet, so he chose to make the move to Milan.

However, The midfielder’s time in Italy hasn’t quite gone to plan, and there has been alot of speculation in the media that he may be open to the idea of coming back to the Premier League, with a few clubs reportedly interested in a possible deal.

It is no secret that Mikel Arteta is craving a creative player to sit alongside Thomas Partey in that Midfield, and with reports suggesting that they will not pay that £54 million to sign Houssem Aouar, they could be interested in a possible deal.

Now Several sources in Italy – including Corrierre dello Sport – suggest the North Londoners are looking to trade in Granit Xhaka to get the ex-Tottenham man on board.

Conte wants to bring a defensive midfielder to Milan but first-choice signing N’Golo Kante is not available from Chelsea, and Xhaka, 28, is seen as a good alternative and Inter may be able to convince the Swiss star to move given Thomas Partey’s increased prominence in the Gunners’ side.

Fresh reports have again claimed Arsenal are interested in Ousmane Dembele, after Mikel Arteta revealed his side are a long way off where he wants them to be.

There was no doubt in the transfer window that Arteta brought in some top-class players that have had an immediate effect on this Arsenal side, despite the fact that the side have lost four of their opening eight Premier League fixtures.

However, there is some reports in the media that Arteta will once again be handed some funds in order to improve the attack in the coming transfer window, and Dembele has once again been mentioned as a player they could look to sign.

The French star, 23, is out of contract in 2022 but the cash-strapped Catalan giants are believed to want to cash in during the January window, and according to Sport, Gunners skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ‘dreams’ of reuniting with his old Borussia Dortmund pal.

It comes after Mikel Arteta has admitted his side are ‘a long way’ from where they need to be and acknowledged it’s been a ‘difficult time’.

Arteta has had the full backing of the board during his time at the club and has actually got the club playing some good football, but their inconsistent form this season have left alarmed after a particularly poor performance against Aston Villa last time out.

Levante goalkeeper Aitor Fernandez has confirmed that Arsenal were one of two clubs, including Athletic Bilbao, to try and sign him this summer.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was looking to add to his squad over the transfer window and improve key areas of the pitch, adding to depth to a squad that has been lacking in top-class quality in certain areas of the squad.

Emilian Martinez was let go in the summer after deciding to leave the club after being told that he may struggle to get the kind of game time that he would like this season, and completed a bargain £20 million move to Premier League rivals Aston Villa.

That led to Arteta being short in the goalkeeper area and speculation emerged suggesting that Arsenal were interested in signing the Levante star, who has been making a real name for himself over in the Spanish League over the past few seasons.

Now, Fernandes has opened up and confirmed that Arsenal and Bilbao were the two clubs that showed an interest in getting a transfer deal done, He told AS: “Yes, it’s true that there have been contacts.

“Quite a few clubs have asked, and those are two of them.

“But here I have been very happy, and I hope to continue being so.”

Fernandes is happy where he is and enjoying his football, but he has missed out on an opportunity to play for one of the best sides in the Premier League, and it may be a regret for him in the future that he did not make the move to the Emirates.
