Spaniard ‘is getting closer and closer’ to sealing move to Arsenal!

Arsenal have sent a proposal to Mikel Merino to join the club, and a move is getting closer and closer according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Gunners have been linked with so many players over the past few months as many fans expected the Gunners to bring in a few quality players to add to the squad, but so far only David Raya has been signed by the club.

But it is widely expected that ARSENAL will look to add to that attack this transfer window – and Merino is a player that has been linked with a move to the Emirates over the past few weeks after his impressive performances in the Euros 2024 for Spain.

According to recent reports in the media , Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is said to be a big fan of him and is prepared to sanction a deal that would see the 28-year-old earn the most lucrative contract of his career, potentially double what is currently on.

It has been reported on the Football.London website that Chelsea have now joined the chase to try and get a deal done for the Spanish star, but Mundo Deportivo reports that The player is “getting closer and closer” to joining Arsenal despite no agreement between the club and Sociedad

There has been so much speculation about the players that Arsenal could be signing this summer – there is still plenty of time left for ARSENAL to sign Merino if they really want the Spaniard.

He is solid – he would be a good addition to the side for the right money – and he will add some much needed depth for Mikel Arteta – so he would be a good signing, it is as simple as that.
