Arsenal ‘are confident’ exciting new arrival will be making Emirates move this month
Arsenal are confident of signing Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in January according to Fabrizio Romano via Caughtoffside.
The Gunners, who reportedly had an opening offer worth around £55m including add-ons rejected, are yet to meet the demands of the Ukrainian club, with the payment structure also being discussed.
Sky Sports have claimed that Shakhtar view Mudryk, who has played just eight times for his country and is yet to score a goal in international football, as one of the top five wingers in the world.
Shakhtar believe he is better than Antony at Manchester United, who cost £86m from Ajax in the summer, and are using that as their benchmark in negotiations.
And amid all the speculation surrounding the young man – Romano has claimed that Arsenal are confident that they will be able to sign Mudryk this transfer window.
The journalist in his column wrote, “Of course Arsenal are confident, and Arteta too. But reaching an agreement with Shakhtar is crucial, they were so strong in negotiations also in August when they turned down €30m from Everton when it sounded like a great bid.
“No deadlines have been mentioned in the negotiations, as of now; talks continue.”

The lad is super talented – he has a bright future in the game and is certainly a player that Gunners fans will enjoy watching.
But no-way is he worth £86 million – we cant see the Gunners paying that amount of money and if he does come – they need to get him for a right price.
And to be honest – he hasn’t even done anything in the game to be worth that – Why don’t Arsenal try and sign Wilfred Zaha instead?
