Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –
Former Arsenal man Gilberto Silva has sent a clear Nico Williams transfer message to Mikel Arteta.
The 21-year-old has banged in seven goals and grabbed 16 assists in 34 appearances for Athletic Bilbao this season across all fronts and is a player that is attracting some of the games biggest clubs.
It is no secret that Mikel Arteta is looking to add some more quality to his attack when the transfer window opens up and is keen to bolster his squad with another winger – to help cove injuries etc.
In an exclusive interview courtesy of bet365’s Copa America coverage, Silva said: “I want to see every good player at Arsenal and Nico Williams would be interesting, but I want to see more at Euro 2024. But he does play in the same position as Gabriel Martinelli.
“Williams had a great season to be linked to a club like Arsenal because they have done something great. I’m sure they are going to improve in some areas. I don’t know which one, but probably there’s some areas they might improve in.”
However – the young Spaniard recently dropped a hint that he wants to stay put: “It’s hard to deal with, because everyone is constantly asking you what you’re going to do with your future,” he told Spanish radio station RNE.
“I’m a 21-year-old kid who just wants to play football. I have already said that Athletic is my home. I only recently renewed [my contract].
“I am very happy. [Inaki] has already experienced it. He had his moment many years ago with rumors from the outside. He knows what it’s like, he knows how you suffer and he knows what has to be done.”

The lad is amazing and under the guidance of Mikel Arteta – he could develop into a class winger – but the fact that he may not even be first choice means that his development could falter if he makes the move to the Premier League.
But he would certainly be a very exciting signing if ARSENAL did manage to bring him to the Premier League over the next few months
ARSENAL DROPS RAYA HINT –
Arsenal have seemingly dropped a huge hint that David Raya has been signed on a permanent basis after a stunning season with the club.
ARSENAL are set to activate the £27million option in his contract after impressing on loan during the 2023/24 season. Raya conceded just 31 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions, keeping 20 clean sheets.
He played an integral part in Arsenal boasting the best defensive record in the Premier League and the Gunners dropped a major hint on the club’s official website that showed two major changes.
An admission on their club website suggests Arsenal have chosen to make the transfer permanent. Raya remains registered as a player for the Gunners in their squad list despite his loan move technically ending on Sunday, June 30.
Brentford goalkeeper coach Manu Sotelo recently admitted that the club couldnt stop top players from leaving: “David’s thing is not a surprise, because I know how he competes,” he told Faro de Vigo.
“He is the smartest goalkeeper I was with, anything you said to him he said he was going to try and do it in the next game.
“He has brutal ambition, intelligence and an incredible way of training. He dominates all game situations and is a leader.
“We knew it was going to be very difficult to retain him.”

Look, many people were surprised by the signing of Raya last summer – they had no idea that he would become one of the best players in that Arsenal squad under Mikel Arteta, he was brilliant last season.
£27 million is not alot of money to pay for one of the best stoppers in the Premier League and it will be an absolute bargain for ARSENAL
PEDRO NETO EXPECTED TO MOVE –
Arsenal have been sent a clear transfer message regarding long-standing target Pedro Neto with the expectation that he will leave Wolves this summer.
Over the course of the last summer transfer window – ARSENAL done some of the best business in the Premier League and signed players that will make them serious contenders for that Premier League title.
The likes of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, David Raya and Jurrien Timber have all made their own impacts at the Emirates since the move over the summer, but Mikel Arteta wants to keep adding to his side in the coming transfer windows, which has led to reports Pedro Neto is wanted.
Speaking to OLBG, former Wolves man Don Goodman said:“I think Pedro Neto could go to any of the big clubs – he’s that good. Wolves fans are resigned to the fact they will lose him, with respect to them.
“Neto is a top-level player and Wolves can’t lay claim to being one of those clubs right now. You have to grab the football opportunities with both hands and embrace the chances to develop your career and play at the highest level – and that means the Champions League. He’s that good.
“It’s promising to hear him talk about how much he loves the club, fans, and the area. He’s very settled and he’ll have to revisit that in the summer.
“Arsenal are the ones who are linked with him, but I’d be very surprised if most of the big teams aren’t keeping an eye on him. He’s been sensational.
“I used to commentate on Wolves games when Neto was at his peak, before his injury, and the thing that struck me was his intentions on the ball. He always wanted to beat players, create chances, and put crosses in.
“Players make safer choices with the ball these days as there’s a big onus on keeping it, rather than trying to hurt opponents with your quality. The flipside of that is that you might give the ball away. Neto’s decision-making, choices, and will to hurt opponents really struck me.
“Neto lost that when was recovering from his injury, but Gary O’Neil has given him a bit of love, and we’ve got the old Neto back. He’s sensational, and he belongs at the very top.”
