Romano opens up and OFFICIALLY tells Arsenal that Free agent ‘would love a return’ to the Premier League
Diego Costa would reportedly ‘love’ to return to the Premier League with Arsenal reportedly interested in a possible transfer deal.
The ex-Chelsea striker is a free agent after Atletico Madrid terminated his contract with immediate effect – six months ahead of schedule, and there has been alot of speculation in the media that he could be heading back to the Premier League.
Arsenal have been linked, so have the likes of Newcastle, Wolves and Tottenham, who are all eager to add a bit more bite to that front-line until at least the end of the current Premier League season.
And amid all the speculation, Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has opened up and suggested that Costa would be very open to the idea of making that move back to the Premier League, Romano told Sky Sports News: “Costa would love to return to the Premier League.
“He had some bids from Brazilian and Turkish clubs since he ended his contract with Atletico Madrid but he decided to wait a bit.
“He hopes to receive some bids from the Premier League. There are a lot of rumours but nothing advanced.
“But for sure, Diego is waiting for a call from the Premier League. He would love to come back, he loves the atmosphere. Let’s see.”
The idea of having Costa back in the Premier League to annoy most defenders is a strange one to consider as we believed that he would never make the move back to the English game after leaving Chelsea.
But the thought that Arsenal could make a move for a player that enjoys getting sent off than scoring these days, is a strange one. And it could be a decision that would not benefit the club, IF THEY MAKE AN OFFICIAL MOVE.
