Arsenal Director Edu speaks on possible January deal for Top -class striker and midfielder
Arsenal sporting director Edu says Juventus are ‘too tough’ in negotiations when asked about potential talks over Dusan Vlahovic and Thomas Partey.
ARSENAL have started the season in fine fashion and sit top of the Premier League – but there is a feeling that they are missing that 25-goal a season forward to really compete with Man City for that Premier League title.
That has led to constant rumours in the media linking the Gunners with a move for Vlahovic – who only moved to Juventus two summers ago – but has constantly been linked with a move away as he struggled to score the goals they wanted him too.
However – despite all the speculation in the media linking him with a move to the Premier League, the Serbian doesn’t seem to want to move on from Juve anytime soon and he has even hinted at signing a new deal at the club.
The 23-year-old Serbia international has registered 28 goals and seven assists across 75 games for the Serie A club with Mikel Arteta keen to bolster his attack.
That has caused speculation that a form of swap deal could be in the air between Arsenal and Juventus, as the Italians are very much interested in Partey – although Edu was coy when asked about possible talks at the Golden Boy awards in Turin.
Quizzed if he had discussed Vlahovic and Partey with Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, who was also present at the award ceremony, Edu said with a smile: ‘No, they are too tough with us!’

Vlahovic is a very good forward that would score goals in that Arsenal side – but there are many ARSENAL fans out there that would prefer the board make a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
Not many will care if Partey is sold – he is constantly inured.
