Arsenal do everything sign target – ‘Ive heard’ striker wants Arsenal move – £90M Arsenal targets has Prem offer
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…
ARSENAL have once again been linked with a move for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, and former Man United, Sunderland and Aston Villa scout Mick Brown has claimed the striker has grown “fed up” with a perceived lack of ambition at St James’ Park.
Brown has insisted they will need to match the striker’s ambitions of playing Champions League football to convince him to stay for the long-term future, but he has heard whispers a move to Arsenal could happen
“He’d be an asset to any club in Europe,” he told Football Insider. “I’ve heard whispers speaking about a potential move to ARSENAL and that wouldn’t shock me.
“There are a few of the top clubs who have been keeping an eye on his situation.
“I think he’s getting a bit fed up at Newcastle and was expecting them to show a bit more ambition in the transfer window and with their results.
“He might feel next summer is a good time for him to move on. That’s the way things are now, particularly if they don’t qualify for Champions League football.
“They want to tie him down to a new contract, but I wouldn’t expect him to commit unless the club can prove they’ll match his ambitions.
“Wayne Rooney did it at Man United. He said if they weren’t going to buy players and show some ambition, he’d leave.
“I’d expect if things don’t start to improve, Isak will be in that same situation.”
MUANI HAS OFFERS
journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Kolo Muani has received offers from the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United just a few clubs that have been linked with a move for the Frenchman.
ARSENAL have a quality attack that is scoring goals on a weekly basis – but Gabriel Jesus is not good enough to score 20 goals a season, while Kai Havertz simply cannot stay fit for too long.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Muani before he made the switch to PSG – and could be more than interested again as they seek to continue to add a striker to their already quality attack.
Last season, Kolo Muani managed just six goals in 26 Ligue 1 appearances, and his struggles have continued this season, with only two goals so far.
Having bought from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 for a hefty €80 million, with an additional €10 million in potential add-ons, PSG are reluctant to take a financial hit and will look for at least €70 million if they decide to sell the 24-year-old forward.
Now, Plettenberg has claimed that Kolo Muani has received offers from the Premier League – He wrote on X: “Understand there are already several requests for a loan with an option to buy, especially from the Premier League.”
A transfer of Randal Kolo Muani in the upcoming winter transfer window is no longer ruled out! #PSG and the 25 y/o striker are open to options where he can get regular playing time.
‘Understand there are already several requests for a loan with an option to buy, especially from the Premier League. In the 1-0 win against Lens on Saturday, he spent 90 minutes on the bench. His contract runs until 2028.
If you believe reporter Iomie Stanley – he would be a good signing for Arsenal – he said: ‘Muani has been very exciting this season guys, he has been special and it is easy to see just why all the big clubs are looking at a possible move.
‘That is alot of money for a lad that has not really done too much in the game – and the fact that ARSENAL need to sign some more established players – they dont need to add Muani to the squad.
‘Mikel Arteta will know what type of player that he needs to keep this Arsenal side challenging for the side – but despite his struggles in France, Muani could still be a very good signing for the Gunners at the right price.’
ARTETA WANTS ISAK
ARSENAL will do everything they can to sign Alexander Isak from Premier League rivals Newcastle United as soon as possible, according to reports that have been in the media over the weekend.
Isak conjured up 21 goals and two assists across 30 Premier League games last season, and with no European fixtures this term, Newcastle look set to challenge for a top-four finish, which they achieved under manager Eddie Howe in 2022-23.
Isak, who has only scored twice for Newcastle so far this term, has ambitions to keep playing in the Champions League after having a taste at Toon a year ago, but But if Eddie Howe’s side miss out on a top four finish then he could potentially look to leave, with a lack of an extended deal increasing that possibility.
Isak remains under contract until 2028 and preliminary discussions between the Magpies and the star over a new package were held before the summer, but that has not stopped rumours that Arsenal are keen.
And now reports in Spain claim that Arsenal ‘will go all out for Arteta with the Spanish manager demanding the ‘galactic signing’ of Newcastle’s Isak as soon as possible.
The report adds that Arteta is ‘determined to take Arsenal ‘s attack to the next level , and his top target is the big Swedish star.
Freddie Ljungberg, a two-time Premier League winner, recently claimed Isak can go to another level at the likes of ARSENAL, Chelsea or Man City and has described his compatriot as ‘freaking special’.
‘I like Isak. His top level is huge,’ the Arsenal legend told Swedish outlet Expressen.
‘He has these super top qualities that I, as a coach, might look for. I want players who have some super power, then you can put them in special situations and know that they will make a difference.
‘His top qualities are so freaking special that I think he can be even better. He could go all the way up to the absolute top because of the speed he has, the nice finishes and the understanding of the game.
‘This is the player for whom I want things to go so incredibly well. He seems so humble and down to earth, and it feels like he just wants to work hard and play football.
‘I really hope he can take the next step. Newcastle is a good club. There is nothing wrong with that.
‘But at some point I hope he goes to ARSENAL, Chelsea or Man City where he can pour in goals. That’s what I hope.’
