Champions League side DECIDE TO SELL’ £65M Arsenal target this summer!

It has been claimed that Arsenal may be able to get one of their top transfer targets this summer, Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz.

The midfielder has been one of Unai Emery’s unsung heroes this term, scoring seven goals and contributing seven assists in all competitions.

While striker Ollie Watkins has captured the headlines, Luiz has played a key role in Villa’s success in the Premier League this term, helping the side get Champions League football for next season

Luiz was heavily linked with a move to ARSENAL last year and according to many reports in the media over the past few months, he is still a player that Mikel Arteta would love to add to his squad.

Recent reports claimed the Gunners are working hard behind the scenes to sign the Brazilian, but his club Aston Villa are in no rush to sell their talisman who signed a new contract last season.

Now  – According to talkSPORT, Aston Villa are considering selling their midfielder Douglas Luiz to ease PSR concerns.

Luiz is also said to be attracting interest from Italian giants Juventus. He has enjoyed another campaign for the Villans, scoring 10 times and providing as many assists in 53 appearances.

Douglas is playing the best football of his career and to be honest – it would take something special to get him away from Aston Villa right now – as he is very happy at the club.

The reports that Villa are open to selling a player that was so influential for the side last summer has come as a surprise – and we are sure that this is just one of those transfer stories.

He would be a brilliant signing for ARSENAL – he suits the style of play under Mikel Arteta – but as we said – we would be surprised to actually see him leave Aston Villa this summer.
