Arsenal encouraged to hand world class midfielder ‘five or six’ year contract!
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed the possibility of Martin Odegaard leaving ARSENAL for PSG cannot be ruled out.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed his most prolific campaign, scoring 15 Premier League goals and playing a pivotal role in cementing Champions League qualification for the first time in seven years.
He is under contract until 2025 and there is no suggestions in the media that he would be open to leaving the club at the end of the season should a big club come calling.
But according to the London Evening Standard, the Gunners are keen to tie down their club captain to a longer and improved deal.
Paris Saint-Germain have expressed interest in Odegaard, but Mikel Arteta has no plans to part with Odegaard and are instead ready to begin contracts with him.
But now – amid the speculation – Agbonlahor has claimed that a move to PSG cannot be ruled out for the midfielder – he told Football Insider: “I don’t see him moving to PSG.
“He’s the captain, Arsenal have Champions League football to offer, and he loves being there.
“You can’t say he’s definitely going to stay, though, because PSG have got so much financial power.
“They pay silly money for players.
“Saka has signed, that’s great news, but they need to sign Odegaard up long-term.
“Spurs used to do it. Chelsea do it now. Five or six year contracts have got to be given to the likes of Odegaard and Saliba.”

There is no doubt that Odegaard can play for any club in the world, but why would he? He is getting everything he needs at Arsenal .
They are on the verge of something special this season, they will be back in the Champions League next year and with a couple more signings – they will be really hard to beat.
We are sure that offers will arrive for the man – but we are also sure that he will be more than happy to sign a new contract at the Emirates – especially under the guidance of Mikel Arteta.
