ARSENAL fans are convinced they’ll sign Premier League ‘monster’ Alexander Isak after the Newcastle United star dropped a transfer hint.

The Gunners were prolific in front of goal last season but relied heavily on Kai Havertz as Gabriel Jesus endured a frustrating season. Mikel Arteta targeted Benjamin Sesko earlier in the summer but he ended up staying at RB Leipzig.

Isak was another player that Arsenal were reportedly very interested in trying to sign during the summer window, but his massive £100 million asking price meant that the Gunners made the decision to stick with Havertz and Jesus for the start of the new season.

However – there have been many calls suggesting that Arsenal need to make sure that they add a new striker to that attack in January or at the end of the season, as they do not have that 30 goals a season forward that will make a difference over the course of the season, and Isak has been on the radar.

Now Gunners supporters believe Isak could now be swapping St James’ Park for the Emirates after he issued a ‘come and get me plea’ in an interview.

Isak, speaking to Viaplay Fotboll, rated Arsenal pair William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes as the best defensive duo in the Premier League and said that they were the hardest centre-backs he’s faced in the top-flight.

The Newcastle star also insisted that Saliba and Magalhaes were both better than Liverpool’s star centre-back Virgil van Dijk.

ARSENAL super-fan Laura Woods recently claimed Newcastle’s Alexander Isak would be the new main striker the Gunners reportedly want – Woods told BetMGM: “Arsenal shared the goals around last season and did it well, but plenty still think they need a central striker.

“The positives are only Manchester City outscored Arsenal last season so it’s not like they are lacking in firepower. However the negatives are that City won the league and Arsenal didn’t.

“I was quite a Benjamin Sesko fan and was hoping that deal went through over the summer. “I was quite a Benjamin Sesko fan and was hoping that deal went through over the summer.

“I also really like Alexander Isak and would love it if Arsenal snapped him up – he looks an ideal type for this Arsenal side.”

JOAN GARCIA SPEAKS ON RUMOURS

Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia says he ‘isolated’ himself away from incessant rumours of a possible move to ARSENAL in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal were looking to add a new goalkeeper to the side over the summer window as Aaron Ramsdale departed the club and Reports emanating from Spain indicated that Arsenal were very keen on signing the impressive Garcia.

Reports had even emerged that the Gunners had agreed personal terms with Garcia’s camp over a proposed £25million move to the Emirates, but talks between the two clubs collapsed at the final hurdle, with the Gunners failing to satisfy Espanyol’s hefty financial demands for the 23-year-old ‘keeper.

Arsenal eventually abandoned their pursuit of Garcia and instead wrapped up a season-long loan agreement for Bournemouth shot-stopper Neto, but there is still interest from the Gunners in adding Garcia to the side at the end of the current campaign.

Garcia has gone on to start all but one of Espanyol’s games in La Liga this season and the Spaniard insists he has no lingering disappointment about Arsenal’s failed proposal:‘I tried to isolate myself from everything that was being said,’ Garcia told Spanish publication Marca.

‘I had been given the opportunity to do something I had been fighting for for a long time, which was to be Espanyol’s starting goalkeeper.

‘I couldn’t waste this opportunity.’

‘It is something that I think should not be talked about so much. ‘I try not to let it affect me and try to be isolated, although it is complicated.

‘I think I am handling it quite well, I cannot control it. It is not affecting me. Whatever will be, will be.’

It is probably a good thing that Garcia did not make the move to ARSENAL in the summer as he would be on the bench alot more than he is now at the Spaniards, he would only get cup competition appearances.

David Raya is the number one at Arsenal and has been brilliant, so as we just said, it was a good thing that Garcia did not make the move to the Emirates.

ARTETA WANTS MILAN STAR

ARSENAL manager Mikel Arteta is “in love” with AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, according to a report and is planning a move to bring the Seria  A star to the Emirates in January or at the end of the season.

After improving a number of key areas during the summer transfer window, Arsenal started the new season in fine fashion and looked like the side that were going to take the Premier League title off Manchester City.

However, injuries, red cards and some dodgy performances has meant that Arsenal are now adrift of leaders Liverpool and face a struggle to keep up with the Merseyside giants after their blistering start to the new season means that they are now favourites for that title.

That has led to speculation in the media that Reijnders is a player that the Arsenal boss would love to sign, according to Fichajes, which reports that “everything indicates that the Gunners are willing to make a significant financial effort to secure his signing”.

Reijnders has been one of the most impressive players at Milan this season, but only has a £24 million fee, something that Arsenal are more than interested in paying.

Arsenal have a very good squad, but injuries in key areas of the pitch means that Mikel Arteta does not have the back-up to replace the likes of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, so adding a new midfielder to the side could be a serious option in January.

Arsenal are not out of the title race just yet, but there is a long way to go and we are sure that with all the games that Arsenal will have to play, injuries and suspensions will be picked up, so squad depth is important.

Reijnders is happy at Milan and will not want to move, but if ARSENAL offer the right amount of money, they a move will happen
