West Ham get chance to sign Tielemans – Moyes handed Melo boost – Hammers to make Paqueta moves in West Ham news of the day –

It has again been claimed that West Ham could now make a stunning move to try and sign Lucas Paqueta from Lyon this summer

The Hammers have been doing some decent transfer business this summer and are just one of a number of clubs that have showed an interest in trying to sign Brazilian Paqueta this summer

And although the Hammers interest in the player has wavered in recent weeks – there is still a lot of speculation in the media that he could come over to the Premier League

And according to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs – West Ham could challenge Newcastle and Arsenal for the 24-year-old’s signature: “I think Newcastle will monitor the Paqueta situation, but if Paqueta is really pushing for a move then the clubs that want him, Newcastle included, are trying to establish where that move would be to.

“Whether that’s the league or a specific club. Keep an eye on West Ham as well as they could come into the mix and keep an eye on PSG who want at least three more signings.”

Lyon’s head of recruitment Bruno Cheyrou has recently revealed that the club are looking to reduce the size of their squad and are open to letting a few of the clubs big players depart the club

“We need to reduce the squad size,’ Cheyrou said. ‘In terms of departures, we will analyse offers on a case-by-case basis but the economics will come into consideration.

‘We will consider the offers with Jean-Michel Aulas and Vincent Ponsot in order to make the best decisions. I am here to ensure the best team possible, but there are other things to take into account as well.’

Asked specifically about Paqueta, Cheyrou said, ‘We are prepared for every eventuality.’

Tielemans boost –

West Ham have been given the chance to snap up Youri Tielemans – after Arsenal reportedly made a big transfer decision

Arsenal have been very active in the transfer market this summer window and have signed some players that have played at the highest level of the game – and has been successful at it

But it is believed that ArsenalFC will carry on spending this transfer window – and Tielemans is a player that is still on the shopping list of the Gunners and is a player that is keen on a move to the Emirates

However – the Foxes are keen to keep the Belgian international – despite the fact that he is out of contract at the end of the season – and will fight to the bitter end before allowing him to depart the club

And that has meant that the Gunners have switched their attentions away from Tielemans – which will hand West Ham a massive boost to try and get a deal done for the man

It is no secret that Tielemans is a player that David Moyes would love to add to his squad – and a player that he believes could take the club to that next level

they are a club on the rise and with all the signings this summer – they are a side that could challenge for a top four spot

Melo boost –

Valencia boss Genaro Gattuso has ruled out a move for Arthur Melo – opening the door for West Ham to make a move

It is claimed that West Ham could make a move this transfer window, and it seems that the Juventus star is very keen to leave Italian football

Valencia was a club that were reportedly interested in a transfer deal – but Gattuso has admitted the club aren’t able to complete a deal for him.

“He has a prohibitive salary for us,” Gattuso said. “A very great player but we don’t have the possibility of signing this type of player.

“I have no promise (of new signings). But the club knows very well that we have to complete the team. I hope we are going to sign two or three players.”

Federico Pastorello, the agent of the midfielder, was speaking to FC Inter News recently and insisted that his client is desperate to leave Turin:

“There is an interest. And I hope a transfer can materialise.

“He has the desire to go, so the desire is to find a solution for him because such a strong player does not have to stay and see the others (play instead of him). We hope to find a solution for him.”

It is easy to see why West Ham are keen to snap up Arthur – he is a very solid – experienced player that will bring some depth to the side without doing anything really exciting

For the right money he could be a very good squad member for David Moyes to have in the side

He would bring everything to the club that the Hammers need to make that next step – this will be a massive boost for the club that is for sure
