Arsenal Friday! Emery ready to sign Moreno and Rashford ‘to leave’ United?

Here is a roundup of all todays Arsenal headlines from icfootballnews

Some shock reports have emerged which have claimed Arsenal are lining up a move for Liverpool outcast Alberto Moreno at the end of the season.

The Spanish superstar was once hailed as the next best thing since Jordi Alba to come out of Spain before he made the move to the Premier League and Liverpool and was seemingly destined to become one of the best left-backs in world football, but his move has not worked out and he has failed to impress enough during his four years at Anfield.

He has only made 134 appearances for Liverpool during that time and has now lost his place in the side to the impressive Andy Robertson, who is now considered one of the best in the Premier league and Jurgen Klopp’s number one.

And with the Spanish star in his final year of his contract and seemingly not keen to agree a new deal, the Reds are resigned to losing Moreno next summer, with a whole host of clubs from across the Premier League and Europe showing a keen interest, knowing the 26-year old still has something to offer.

But now the Daily Mirror, Arsenal have been alerted to Moreno’s contract situation with the defender available on a free transfer at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

Gunners boss Unai Emery worked with Moreno when they were together at Sevilla and is reportedly keen to take him to the Emirates as he needs regular back-up for Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac, who are solid performers for the club but are not able to play in every game of the season.

Chris Waddle has claimed Manchester United star Marcus Rashford will need to leave as he is being wasted at Old Trafford.

The young English striker is a firm fans favourite and one of the only players at Old Trafford that can get the fans on the edge of their seats, But over the last 12 months his development has stalled under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, who isn’t convinced the Englishman is ready to get ahead of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.

And this season he has grown even more frustrated at the lack of game time under the special one, startng only two Premier League games, despite the fact Sanchez has been awful since his big move to United last January.

And Waddle has warned United to start valuing the youngster more, or risk losing him to a rival, as the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Arsenal have all shown an interest in getting a transfer deal done.

Waddle told the TalkSport website: “Rashford will have to leave if he doesn’t get regular first team football,” said the former England international. He needs to get games and if he’s not getting games at United then he needs to go elsewhere in order to get it.

“There’ll be a time when he decides to look at other teams where he can play week in week out, he’s never been in that position and he needs that at some point.”
