Mikel Arteta told possible Arsenal signing ‘has special quality’ after 13 assists 12 months

Brad Friedel believes Arsenal transfer target Facundo Torres has ‘special quality’ and would be a very good signing for the Gunners

The Uruguay international joined Orlando City from Penarol in January in a deal worth £7.7million and has scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists in his first year at the club, drawing the attention of the Gunners.

His performances have led to alot of speculation in the media that Arsenal are very interested in a deal to sign the man and are ready to try and splash the cash to sign the impressive star

USA legend Friedel believes that while Torres would need time to get to grips with the physical demands of English football, but he is confident he could help provide an added spark.

‘He’s a star over here with a really good left foot,’ Friedel told Metro.co.uk on behalf of OLBG.

‘In the final third he holds a special quality in being able to unlock defences, he has very good vision and a decent strike on him.

‘Some players go to the Premier League and do incredibly well right away and with other players it takes a little time as we all know.

‘The physicality could be a little bit of an issue for him at first in the Premier League, but I think he could get used to it.

‘He’s a good player, I don’t know him personally so I don’t know if he would want to go be a squad player when he’s a star somewhere else.”

Arsenal must have scouted the man on many occasions – they must know what they would be getting if they signed the lad and for the money that is being talked about – he could be a very good member

But we feel that he may be nothing more than that
