Forget signing Mudryk – Arteta told he already has perfect Jesus cover already at Arsenal

William Gallas has questioned Arsenal ’s interest in Mykhaylo Mudryk, insisting they already have Eddie Nketiah.

Mudryk is a man that Arsenal fans have been reading about alot over the past few months as all indications suggest that the Gunners are keen on a transfer deal and the player wants a move to the Emirates.

He is regarded as one of the most exciting young wingers in the game – so much so – that Shakhtar Donetsk now reportedly value him at a massive £86 million – which is a fee that the Arsenal board reportedly dont want to pay.

Now  – amid all the speculation – Gallas has opened up and admitted that Arsenal do not need to sign Mudryk this January window – as they already have Eddie Nketiah at the club

He told Genting Casino: “I don’t know if Arsenal need Mykhaylo Mudryk for the second part of the season. Maybe they do.

“As I said, the season is very long. But at the same time, Arteta has his squad already, players on the bench, players who can come on and play in that position like Nketiah.

“It’s really difficult to get an answer to that question because I’m not there and I don’t know what is going down. So if they sign him, they know why.

“I’m sure Mudryk is a great player who can help the squad. So if that player can help them to win the title then they should buy him.”

Mudryk is a very exciting player that has the potential to be a big star of the game – but it would be a risk for Arsenal to try and sign him hoping that he will make an immediate impact.

Nketiah may not be the most productive of strikers – but he has been doing a decent job while Gabriel Jesus is out – so it makes sense for Gallas to say that the Gunners do not need Mudryk.

We do not know what is going to happen – but it will be interesting to see what happens
