Big Guendouzi claim! Ex Spurs star makes big Arsenal announcement over impressive Frenchman

Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has claimed Mateo Guendouzi could be at the centre of the clubs success for the next ten years.

Guendouzi was signed by Unai Emery last summer in a move that surprised many fans, especially the ones who never heard of him before his move to the Emirates, but since his move to England he has become one of the most influential midfielders at the club.

His performances have earned him his first call-up to the senior France team during this international break and especially attracted plaudits after his display in the north London derby last weekend

And Bent has been impressed with his influence and desire to control play at such a young age, telling the Football Insider: ‘He’s playing like he’s someone who’s played for Arsenal for years.

‘It’s scary that he’s only 20, he could be in the Arsenal midfield for the next 10 years, he’s really good in that role.

‘Even when he gives the ball away, he wants the ball all the time. ‘He never shies away from that and that is a trait in a midfielder that you can’t teach, you can’t teach that.’

There are many players in this current Arsenal side that do no deserve their starting spot in the side, and many fans have voiced their opinions. But Guendouzi is a brilliantly gifted midfielder that clearly has the potential to become a world class midfielder.

He already shown that he is more than capable in the Premier League, and with him in the side, the future looks bright for Arsenal and its long-term future.

So if he can progress and perform just how he has been, then that price tag that Arsenal paid to secure a deal for the young Frenchman will be nothing compared to what he will be worth in just a few seasons time.

He has turned out to be a real bargain for Arsenal.
