Here is a roundup if the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –

ARSENAL have held talks to sign Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo, according to reports.

This season Mikel Arteta really has got many fans excited – with the Gunners now in second place in the Premier League with just five games to play – although Manchester City are now favourites for that title.

There will be Champions League football next season for Arsenal, no matter if they win the League, and Arteta knows that he will need to add to his squad in order to keep challenging for the titles.

The Gunners are interested in the star, with Arteta and Cancelo working together for a few months at Man City before the Spaniard left to take charge of Arsenal.

There had been some speculation in the media that Barcelona were also open to trying to get a transfer deal done in the summer window – having been long-term fans of the Man City star.

But Barcelona manager Xavi revealed his club’s interest in Cancelo was prominent only in January – leaving the Gunners with a good chance of getting the man.

Now – According to Sky Sports, Arsenal have also held ‘early verbal talks’ with City over a possible deal for Cancelo.

However, the broadcaster reports that there is already a ‘gap in valuation’ between Arsenal and City.

Man City now feel that ARSENAL will be serious title contenders for next season and will not want to sell anymore players to Mikel Arteta that they believe would improve the squad.

Cancelo is a brilliant star that would be a great signing for the Gunners and that is why Man City will not allow him to move to London unless it is for crazy money that the defender is no longer worth.

Rice told to join Arsenal –

Ally McCoist has explained why Declan Rice should join ARSENAL instead of Manchester United this summer.

Rice is one of the most talked about midfielders in the Premier League as he has constantly been linked with a move away from the club.

He has stayed put in previous windows – but it is widely expected that he will pack his bags when the season is fully over and he has taken his holiday – to move on from West Ham.

The Hammers will want a huge fee for the player – but with the likes of Man United and Arsenal interested in a potential deal – they are pretty sure that they will get close to that figure.

Now – amid all that speculation – McCoist has opened up and told Rice why he should snub a move to Man United and instead join the Gunners.

Discussing Rice’s future, McCoist told talkSPORT: ‘It’s a funny one. If I’m Declan Rice and I’m weighing up my options, I am thinking I’d probably rather go to Arsenal than Manchester United.

‘I look at Manchester United over the weekend and over the season – and I know they’ve won the League Cup – but they look as though they’re four or five players behind Manchester City.

‘I still think Arsenal are well behind Manchester City, but I think they’ve got the potential to get nearer to them quicker.’

Rice has a big decision to make on his future over the next few months as he will need to join a side that can take him to that next level –

West Ham will be very unhappy when he leaves the club – but he wants Champions League football – he wants to try and win trophies – he wants to be one of the best in the world.

It will be very interesting to see who he does join as Chelsea, ARSENAL and Man United all have different ways of playing – so it will depend on where he will get the most minutes and the most money.

As we said – everyone is watching where Rice moves to this summer.

Osimhen boost –

ARSENAL target Victor Osimhen has left the door open to a potential summer exit from Napoli

This season Osimhen has developed into one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe – with his deadly finishing helping Napoli reach the top of Seria A and closing in on that title.

The 24-year-old has hit 22 goals in the League this season and it is no secret that the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and PSG are all reportedly eyeing up a potential deal for the Nigerian star.

The player himself appears nonplussed over his future however, insisting he is happy to go along with whatever decisions are made over the coming weeks and months by outspoken Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

“I don’t know, the president has to decide that,” Osimhen told DAZN when asked if he would stay at Napoli next season.

“I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don’t mind, the president decides and I will just go with the flow.”

Coming to the Premier League is not easy for most strikers and he could fail to adapt to the English game – so maybe it would be better that the ARSENAL try to sign somebody like IvanToney?

We are not saying that he wont score – we are just saying that he may not handle the pressure of playing for a massive club like.

Plus the fact that he would cost over £100 million to sign, probably means that ARSENAL will make the decision to not proceed to chase Osimhen.

But it will be very interesting to see just who Arsenal will try and sign at the end of the season.
