Arsenal hold talks to sign £80 million Valued midfielder
Arsenal have made contact with Bruno Guimaraes’ camp over a stunning transfer for the Newcastle star, according to reports
Guimaraes has established himself as one of Newcastle’s most important players and a Premier League star since his £40m move from Lyon in January 2022, and is a player that all the big clubs have been really admiring over the past few seasons.
Eddie Howe’s side have regressed this term – but Guimaraes is still a player that could command a fee close to £100 million at the end of the season, with the likes of Man City, ARSENAL and PSG just three clubs that are reportedly interested.
Arsenal have been made aware that there is a verbal agreement in place between Newcastle and the player to listen to offers worth at least £80m, however, with City also likely to be in the running, it will be a battle to get a deal done.
However – despite this rumours – the Sun have claimed that Arsenal have made contact with the Brazilians camp over a possible move to the Emirates – and will hope to get him for far less than that £80 million.
But amid the speculation – Rivaldo believes his compatriot would be more likely to end up at the Etihad Stadium, He told Betfair: ‘Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester City. He’s a great player and has been standing out this season.
‘It’s clear that nowadays everyone wants to play for Manchester City because they have Pep Guardiola and a very tight and harmonious team.
‘I believe that if Guimaraes leaves Newcastle, he will choose to go to Manchester City.’

With all this transfer speculation in the media surrounding his future at the club – it would be a massive shock to still see Guimaraes at Newcastle by the end of the season – he needs to make that next step in his career.
To be able to have clubs like ARSENAL and Man City chasing you shows the quality that he has and it would be a great move for him to join either club that is fir sure.
