Is Rice leaving Hammers?

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed over the past 24 hours –

Arsenal would be in a strong position to sign Declan Rice from West Ham at the end of the season if they win the Premier League.

Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Arsenal will be in with a very good chance of signing Rice at the end of the season if they win that Premier League title – He told GiveMeSport:

“I do think we should bear in mind from an Arsenal point of view that they are considering their midfield situation and ensuring that they’re strong enough in that area to, first of all, get through this season and then to strengthen in the summer.

“So, it’s not impossible that they go for Declan Rice and they’ll be in a really strong position if they were to win the league.”

Why shouldn’t Arsenal make a move for Declan Rice? They have the money and the quality to compete with the likes of Chelsea, especially now.

His style of play would be a brilliant addition to that Gunners midfield and he honestly would be a player that fans would love.

Rice to make move –

Arsenal have been told that Declan Rice is 100 per cent leaving West Ham in the coming transfer windows.

Over the past few seasons Declan Rice has developed into one of the best players at the club – and one of the most impressive midfielders that the Premier League has to offer.

He really is the leader at the Hammers and a man that they are hoping to keep at the club for as long as they are possibly too – but that has not stopped speculation regarding his long-term future at the club

But now Journalist John Wenham has opened up and told the Hammers that they should brace for the departure of Rice – and the massive decline of the club when he officially departs.

“Without Rice, what identity do West Ham have?” reporter John Wenham told Football Insider

“For me, whatever you think about Mark Noble as a player, he gave West Ham a clear identity as a club. He was a supporter on the pitch and I see that in Declan Rice.

“They had Noble for over 10 years, to lose Rice at 23, it would be very disheartening for them. It would signal a massive decline in a club that reached the semi-final of the Europa League last season.

“I think he’s 100% leaving West Ham, a deal now is unlikely but in the summer, 100%.”

He could cost some serious money -but he is certainly a player that Gunners fans would like to see on a weekly basis and certainly a player that would make them more defensively sound.

He is ready for that next step in his career – play for a big club – and Arsenal are a side that will be competing for the very biggest titles in the next few seasons – they could be a very good option for the man
