Arsenal are interested in handing free agent Sarr contract to make Emirates move
Fresh reports have again claimed Arsenal are interested in signing France U21 international defender Malang Sarr on a free transfer,
With Mikel Arteta seeking to improve a number of key areas of the pitch this summer transfer window, there has been alot of speculation in the media that he wants to spend some serious money to acquire the services of some new players.
The Gunners boss is no fool and knows that he needs to improve certain aspects of this Arsenal side in order to get the club challenging for trophies once again, and with the transfer kitty expected to be tight, he is looking for some bargains.
Arsenal are exploring the possibility of bringing in another centre-back during the summer transfer window despite the arrival of William Saliba, who spent last season on loan with Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1.
But with the club’s finances still uncertain given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the north Londoners looking unlikely to qualify for Europe next season, the Gunners are struggling to make any firm commitments regarding contract offers and transfer fees.
And according to reports on Football.London, The Gunners hope to beat a number of Ligue 1 and Bundesliga to the signing of the 21-year-old, who left Nice at the end of his contract this summer.
However, before they can sign Sarr they have to move on at least one defender, with eight senior centre-back options currently on their books.
Look, Sarr is a very gifted young man that has potential, and the fact that Arsenal could land him on a free is not a very big risk to take is it? if the reports are true and Arsenal have made an offer to the talented young man, lets hope it is better than the other offers that arrive.
Sarr is attracting all sorts of interest and there will surely be alot of offers arriving over the next few months, but if Arsenal do manage to land the gifted young man, he could be very good for the club in the long run.
