James wants new club! Arsenal close in on Bargain deal as Bayern Munich exit wanted
Arsenal target James Rodriguez will not extend his stay at Bayern Munich and will seek a new club this summer.
James has been in the transfer headlines over the past few months after reports emerged which suggested that the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are all interested in bringing the £63 million rated midfielder to the Premier League.
It is no secret that Arsenal are keen to find an adequate replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey, who is leaving the club after eleven seasons and heading over to Italian giants Juventus on a reported £400,000-a-week deal.
The Colombia international’s two-year loan spell from Real Madrid is coming to an end, and despite Bayern having the option of signing the playmaker for £50million, Rodriguez has told his agent Jorge Mendes that he is ready to discuss a new challenge.
And according to Sky Germany, Arsenal could now be ready to make a move and try to seek a bargain £35 million deal to bring him to England.
Arsenal have the players, they have the coach and they do have the money to land a big named player like Rodriguez, but the club have no intention of shying away from the stability that Arsene Wenger brought to the club, meaning Emery will not get the funds to land James.
He would need around £50 million to secure a deal for James and then a weekly wage of around £250,000-a-week, which is not what the Gunners are about these days and would only pay that amount of money if they really needed Rodriguez.
Could Arsenal tempt Rodriguez to the squad, yes they could, but they will probably not as they prefer quantity over quality.
However, if Arsenal want to get competing for the Champions League and Premier League titles in the coming seasons then they need to sign players like Roddriguez when they come onto the market, as big time players don’t tend to move very often in the transfer windows.
He could be the ideal man to replace Ramsey.
