Arsenal announcement made – Striker admits ‘I’m excited to get started’

Arsenal have confirmed that talented striker Tyreece John-Jules has completed his summer loan move to Ipswich

The Gunners have been doing alot of transfer business over the past few days and letting some of the brightest talents that they have head out in order to gain some first-team experience

And John-Jules is the latest player to depart the club in order to get some more experience after Arsenal announced that he will be at Ipswich for the next 12 months

The 21-year-old, who has had previous loan spells in League One with Lincoln, Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday, becomes the Blues’ fourth summer signing following on from Freddie Ladapo, Dominic Ball and Greg Leigh.

Arsenal announced on the club website: ‘Tyreece John-Jules has joined League One side Ipswich Town on loan for the 2022/23 season.

‘We wish Tyreece all the best during his time with Ipswich Town.

‘The loan deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes’

And after completing that move – John-Jules has opened up and announced just how excited he is to be making the move to Ipswich: “I’m excited to get started,” said the former England youth international.

“I’ve been thinking about it for a while but I’m sure I’ve made the right decision.

“I had a meeting with the manager (Kieran McKenna) and people around me, and they had nothing but positive things to say about the club.

“I want to help the team as much possible, and contribute with as many goals and assists as I can. Hopefully, by doing that, I’ll help the team get back to where they need to be.”

The lad has had quite a few loan spells already – but this is the biggest one of his career so far and he will be hoping that he is able to make an impression

Arsenal clearly like him and that is why they keep hold – but he is not ready to make an impact on that first-team yet – so he will surely be hoping that he can impress over at Ipswich
