Breathe Arsenal fans as Mikel Arteta claims this will not be last game for Aubameyang

Mikel Arteta insists the FA Cup final will now be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s last game for Arsenal this season.

Despite being the main man at Arsenal and one of the very best strikers in the game, Arsenal have been unable to tie down the Gabon striker to a new deal at the Emirates and there has been alot of rumours that he could leave the club.

The FA Cup against Chelsea on Saturday could be the very last game that Aubameyang plays in an Arsenal shirt, with claims that he will leave the club if Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling over the next ten weeks.

But despite all the speculation, and despite the fact a new deal has not been struck, Arteta has opene dup and claimed that the FA Cup will not be the final Arsenal game for his star man, he told the Sky Sports website: “I don’t have that feeling.

“It’s a package at the end, you need to have a lot of ingredients on the table to persuade a player of his level to be at this football club.

“It is a massive day. I wouldn’t like to talk or link too much these two factors but it’s a reality obviously that financially it would be really helpful and obviously from the sporting side as well to play in Europe for this club is a must.

“Don’t forget that he still has a contract here with us and we want to keep him and do it in a more long term but at the moment he is with us and I think he should be really proud of where he is as well.”

Only time will tell if this is the last game for Arsenal for Auba, but that contract is a long way off from being signed, so lets see how this plays out.
