Gunners legend gives Leno some bad Arsenal news and leaves Petr Cech smiling!

Arsenal legend David Seaman believes goalkeeper Petr Cech’s vast experience will help him remain the club’s first choice stopped next season.

Coming towards the end of his profession al playing career, Cech was the centre of a number of unimpressive performances for the Gunners last season which forced many to believe that he was not good enough to be the clubs number one.

And that prompted the Gunners to make a swift move for Bayer Leverkusen ace Bern leno, who made 230 appearances across seven Bundesliga seasons.

His arrival almost certainly signals the end for Cech further down the line, but former Arsenal goalkeeper Seaman believes Leno will face fierce competition from the 36-year-old.

“He [Cech] has still got great qualities and it isn’t like he has had a bad season or anything, he still produced,” Seaman said on the Sky Sports website.

“Obviously he is getting older but your game adapts, that is what I found, you might not be as sharp as what you used to be but your experience gets you into the right positions.”

Leno arrives with high expectations to finally solve the problems between the sticks for the Gunners, as fans firmly believe he will become one of the best toppers in world football.

However, he will need time to adapt to life in England and that means Cech will be a great squad member to have, as he will help the German develop.
