Liverpool and Arsenal target Rashford all set to sign £150,000-a-week contract as Man United open talks
Liverpool and Arsenal are set to suffer a blow in their chase for Marcus Rashford, as he is all set to sign a new deal with Manchester United.
Rashford has endured a difficult season this year for United, having fallen out of favour with former United boss Jose Mourinho, who claimed that the Englishman didnt have the ability to score goals on a regular basis.
His frsutrations on the pitch and with Mourinho led to speculation that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool could swoop in and offer him a way out of Old Trafford with an offer in excess of £100 million, with reports suggesting both clubs are extremely interested in a potential deal.
However, the England international has played a starring role since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge, and the Sky Sports website has claimed he is now set to sign a big United deal that will double his current salary to around £150,000-a-week.
United hope the offer of a new deal with stave off interest from the continenet, with the Englishman in his final 18-months of his current deal.
Was Rashford ever going to leave United?
The lad has the quality to become an absolute superstar in the game, and is showing the kind of confidence and ability which made him one of the most exciting players in the game right now. So even though there has been speculation on his future, there was no suggestion from the player himself that he wanted to leave.
However, until he officially signs that deal, there will still be a chance for Liverpool, Arsenal, or anybody else that are interested. to make a move.
