Edu told £100M is price to pay to seal monster Arsenal deal

Simon Jordan believes that Arsenal shouldn’t pay more than £100million for Declan Rice

Rice is a man that is definitely leaving the Hammers this summer after the club confirmed that he was interested in leaving, and Arsenal are favourites for a deal.

talkSPORT understands that Arsenal have made their first offer to sign the midfielder – although the Gunners’ offer was £80m plus £10m in add-ons, the Hammers want more.

Manchester City are also monitoring the situation, but Jordan doesn’t expect them to try and blow Arsenal out the water.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the former Crystal Palace owner said: “I don’t think they have to do anything unless someone else comes in.

“If Arsenal are the only game in town, then West Ham aren’t going to have a choice.

“There might be a consideration for Manchester United.

“Man City aren’t this Johnny Splatter Cash that people think they are.

“They will try to find a deal, but we will see.

“I don’t think it gets past £100m.”

Rice is a brilliant midfielder right? He is a man that could become one of the best in the world.

But he is not worth the money that is being talked about and we dont expect Arsenal to pay anywhere near that if they do seal a deal for the Englishman.

There are other targets on that shopping list of Mikel Arteta – so he will not want to blow the whole budget on one player.

This is going to be a frustrating transfer for the Gunners fans to watch – it will all come down to funds
