Unai’s Man United raid! Arsenal boss Emery looking to seal January deal for unhappy star Bailly
There has been some shock reports which have claimed Arsenal are keen on a loan deal for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly.
Bailly was signed by United for £30 million two seasons ago and firmly became a may stay in the back-line for the special one last season, as he was the most consistent defender at the club.
However, Ex-boss Jose Mourinho chopped and changed his defence this season as he searched for the best centre-back partnership, and Bailly has barely featured for the club, with the Portuguese boss dropping him from the side.
And his game time has not improved much under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the club legend preferring Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling during his seven wins as boss.
And one club that has been linked with a move is Arsenal according to reports, with boss Unai Emery desperate to strengthen the back-line after in the coming transfer windows with his current defence receiving criticism for some of their performances, despite the great start to the new season.
The Gunners were linked with a move for Bailly before he eventually signed for United, and are reportedly ready to reignite their interest and offer Bailly a short term loan to the Emirates.
However, the Sky Sports website has revealed that United do not want to let Bailly leave and will try to block any potential deal over the coming weeks.
Here is what we think.
Bailly is a solid defender that has all the ability to become a top Premier League player in the coming seasons, he just needs a leader next to him, as he is clearly not a man that leads.
So if rumours are true and he is looking for a way out of United, then it will be a shame for the club, especially since their other options are not up to the standard needed to help the club become Premier League and Champions League winners.
