Arsenal make bid to sign striker, Arsenal in talks to sign long-term target, Arsenal issued message about Xhaka replacement, Arteta told target will become complete midfielder
Arteta told target will be complete midfielder, Arsenal make Correa bid, Arsenal in talks to sign Fekir and Arsenal send Xhaka replacement message in Arsenal roundup…
Arsenal have reported bid £17.2million for Lazio striker Joaquin Correa, reports in Italy say.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta believed that he had a thirty-plus goals a season striker at the club in the shape of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, especially after his first couple of seasons with the club.
But after agreeing that massive contract with the club in the summer transfer window, Aubameyang failed to impress like he normally does and failed to find the back of the net on a weekly basis.
That has led to many reports in the media that Arsenal will look to delve into that transfer kitty in the window and add a new striker to the club, with Correa a player that the club are reportedly eyeing.
The Argentina star, 26, is regarded as potentially available this summer – but only for the right price, And Calciomercato suggest Lazio will hold out for £25.8m.
Ex-Sevilla and Sampdoria ace Correa finished the season with 11 goals and five assists in 38 games, and would be seen as a different alternative to Auba, should he struggle to find the back of the net on a weekly basis.
There is a reason why Lazio are willing to let Correa leave in the transfer window and that is because he is a finisher that adds around 15 goals a season, an in todays football, that is not enough.
Arsenal need to improve their squad with statement signings, so even though Correa is decent, He is not a player that would make much on an impact on this Arsenal side guys
Cesc Fabregas is confident Arsenal transfer target Aurelien Tchouameni can become the complete midfielder.
Tchouameni has quickly established himself at the heart of Monaco’s midfield and he has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, and Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the midfielder’s progress at Monaco and are looking to strengthen their midfield options in the summer
Mikel Arteta is looking to add a bit more to that midfield of his and add his own stamp on the side, and is looking to also add another defender and striker to the squad ahead of next season.
And amid the speculation, Fabregas, who has been playing alongside Tchouameni at the heart of Monaco’s midfield, believes he is equipped to follow his in his footsteps and star in the Premier League.
‘He (Tchouameni) has the potential to be the complete midfielder,’ Fabregas wrote on Twitter. ‘Modern midfield player, but we need him still… sorry!’
WE havent seen too much of the lad, but for the right price he could be a decent signing for the right amount of money. But the Gunners will still need to delve into that transfer kitty and make a big money signing.
This Arsenal side needs alot of work in the transfer window, and even though they do have the quality to get back into Europe next season, they will need more if they are hoping to get involved in that Champions League race.
And they will need about £300 million to get back into a Premier League hunt
Arsenal are in talks to sign Real Betis midfielder Nabil Fekir – according to AS.
The transfer window is now open and that means that Mikel Arteta will be able top delve into that transfer kitty and add a few quality players to the squad, especially that midfield area.
Arteta has just lost Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos after they failed to agree a more permanent stay at the club, meaning that Arteta will need to add another creative midfielder to play alongside Thomas Partey in that midfield next season.
And it seems that they are once again very much interested in trying to secure a deal for long-term target Fekir.
The Gunners have already submitted one offer for the 27-year-old, but the Spanish outfit are demanding a much higher fee.
But the reports says Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with Arsenal having turned their attention to Fekir after missing out on Emi Buendia, who joined Aston Villa from Norwich last week.
Arsenal need to sign some top-class players in the coming window as they will not get close to getting back into that top four spot with the players that they have in the squad.
But if the reports are true and Arsenal are closing in on a transfer deal to sign Fekir, why dont they just go for a player that is already proven in the Premier League?
Fekir is a decent player that will add a bit of quality to this Arsenal side, but he isnt a player that would send a statement to the rest of the Premier League.
Gabby Agbonlahor says Ruben Neves isn’t so different from Granit Xhaka and he isn’t the best player to replace the departing midfielder.
Xhaka is on the verge of leaving Arsenal for AS Roma as the Italians relentlessly pursue his signature, with some reports in the media already claiming that a deal has been struck with the giants.
That has meant that Arsenal have been seeking an immediate replacement for Xhaka and have turned their heads towards the gifted Neves, who is valued at around the £35 million mark and is seemingly heading to the Emirates after the Gunners opened talks.
The Portugal star is one of the most recognisable names in the Premier League, but amid the speculation, Agbonlahor has opened up and claimed that he is unconvinced that he is what Arsenal needs.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider: “That’s just going sideways.
“Xhaka and Neves for me are similar players. Both can score screamers, both can score free-kicks but can’t really get around the pitch. They can’t really get the ball back.
“For me, Neves is not the type of player Arsenal need and I think Arsenal fans would agree. Any Arsenal fan I speak to or see is devastated that Buendia chose Villa.
“They’d rather the money spent on an attacking threat. They need to maybe bring in somebody stronger to play alongside Partey in midfield.
“Neves is not the sort of player they need.”
Xhaka is a player that should have left the Gunners a little while ago, he does not bring anything to that Midfield. But Neves has proven himself in the Premier League and we believe that he would be a quality player for the Arsenal
