Forget Ceballos as Premier League star all set for Arsenal move with Gunners saying ‘its hard to rule out move’
Arsenal say it’s “hard to rule out” moving for Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard if Dani Ceballos’ loan move cannot be made permanent.
There has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few days which have suggested that Ceballos will not get the permanent move that many fans would like to see happen, as he is not happy at the club, and the club are not sure he is worth the £36 million it would take to sign him up.
Mikel Arteta knows he needs to add something different to his side in the coming windows if he wants to gte back challenging for big titles, and although Ceballos has impressed on a few occasions, the Spanish boss is not fully convinced of his ability, it seems.
Now it seems that they are preparing for life after Ceballos, if he leaves the club in the summer, with reports ON THE ATHLETIC suggesting that Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi will make contact with Lingard’s controversial agent Mino Raiola in the coming weeks.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly lost confidence in Lingard, and is willing to let him go as part of a squad overhaul at the end of the season, but with the player keen to stay in the Premier League, there have been a number of clubs linked with a possible move for the England International.
Look, Ceballos has not made the kind of impact on the side that many would have liked and with the season pretty much over, how can he earn a permanent move to the Emirates? But is Lingard readlly the perfect kind of signing for Mikel Arteta? We mean he cant get into this average looking Manchester United side.
It will be interesting to see just how this plays out in the coming months.
