Arsenal and Man United left stunned after £100 million fee set after target asks for move
Reports have claimed Crystal Palace are now open to the idea of selling winger Wilfried Zaha to the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal this summer.
After a disappointing few seasons with Manchester United, Zaha has rebuilt his career back at Palace over the past few years and has become one of the most exciting and creative wingers in the Premier League, attracting a whole host of clubs.
United are reportedly seeking an immediate replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who could be leaving the club at the end of the season after failing to make any sort of impact at the club since his move from Arsenal just over 12 months ago.
Arsenal are also interested in a potential transfer deal as Unai Emery seeks to add some much needed width to the side, especially as Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck have both left the club on free deals.
And after news broke early on Thursday morning claiming that Zaha now wants to leave the club and seek Champions League football, The Telegraph say they want £100m on the table before they consider selling.
Zaha is arguably one of the best wingers in the Premier League and brings so much more than excitement to the Palace side. So it was a massive surprise to see him sign a new five-year deal at the club as he is clearly ready for that next step.
United would be a great move for him, as they are in need of an attacking, exciting and skilful wingers to come in and give a different dimension to the side, but they cannot offer him the Champions League football that he desires.
Arsenal would also be a great move for the winger, as they still have hope of getting Champions League football if they can win the Europa League at the end of the month. But the massive price tag on the head of the winger is well out the Gunners price range.
Palace can dream if they want £100 million for Zaha, as he is a £40 million rated player at best.
