Welcome to London? Brazilian Martinelli to sign five-year Arsenal deal as announcement on way!?

Brazilian sensation Gabriel Martinelli is to complete his long-awaited move to Arsenal over the coming days.

The Gunners have been keeping tabs on the 17-year-old’s progress and scouts have been providing detailed reports for several months as they seek to add some fresh faces to the squad ahead of next season.

And recent reports suggested that Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Martinelli and the forward will make the move to the Gunners once he turns 18 in June as Emery managed to beat off the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and a number of Brazilian clubs to secure a transfer deal for Martinelli.

Emery is keen to add along-term replacement to the side after long-serving star Aaron Ramsey failed to agree a new contract at the club and make a big switch to Italian giants Juventus in a deal that could be well over £350,000-a-week.

And it appears the move is just a formality now as he will pen a five-year contract with the Gunners, Globo Esporte report.

Martinelli, who made his professional debut last year, scored six goals for Ituano in the Campeonato Paulista earlier this year.

Emery is expected to do a number of transfer deals in the coming months as he looks to freshen up the side and push on for a Premier League title push next season, as he looks to win something important during his time at the Emirates.

However, with the Spanish boss reportedly only getting around £45 million to spend on new players in the coming weeks, he needs to be smart with his money and deals.

There are a number of bargains on the ,market, namely Adrien Rabiot and Alberto Moreno, who are both free to leave their respective clubs at the end of this month.

So a deal for Martinelli could be followed up by some smart business for some summer bargains.
