Arsenal star Mkhitaryan opens up and takes swipe at former boss Jose Mourinho
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has opened up and told Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, he is preferring his football at Arsenal.
The attacking midfielder shocked many in the January transfer window and made the decision to leave Old Trafford and sign for Arsene Wenger’s side, after failing to establish himself under the Special one at Old Trafford.
He was part of the deal which saw Alexis Sanchez head to Manchester, after the Chilean refused to sign a new contract as he wanted to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League crown.
And Mkhitaryan has suggested that he enjoys Arsenal’s more attack-minded philosophy, and he still feels the same way even after Unai Emery replaced Arsene Wenger.
‘I can just say I’m enjoying myself more here than I was in Manchester.’ He said on the Metro website.
‘The philosophy is different, the playing style is different, the club is different, it is not comparable to anything.

‘Everything is totally different being here because it’s like a new page in the book or in your life.’
Despite Mourinho bringing success to clubs wherever he has been, his style of play has caused a number of players to leave as they simply do not want to spend their time defending, waiting to counter-attack.
And despite making a slow start to life at the Emirates, many fans will be hoping Mkhitaryan steps up next season and helps the club get back into a top four spot.
