Great Aubameyang news, Nelson sends new Arsenal signing message, Winger announces why he had to complete shock Gunners deal
Here is the latest Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews.
Gunners star Reiss Nelson has claimed that Nicolas Pepe will make a great addition to the Arsenal side.
The Gunners may not have signed that ‘superstar’ player that many fans would have wanted to see, but boss Unai Emery done some wonderful business during the transfer market and one signing that is tipped to make a real impact on the side is that of Pepe.
Pepe emerged as one of the most exciting and talented targets in the transfer window, with a number of Premier League sides interested in a deal, but Arsenal smashed their transfer record to nail down the 23-goal winger for £72 million.
Kieran Tierney, David Luiz, Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos (loan) and William Saliba – who has been loaned back to Saint-Etienne – also signed on the dotted line in a busy few weeks for the Gunners, and Nelson has no doubts that Arsenal’s record signing has the ability to live up to his enormous price tag.
‘He’s settled in well and he looks a really good addition,’ Nelson told football.london.
‘We saw little glimpses on the pitch [against Newcastle] and you could see he has the flair we need on the right hand side. ‘He can cut inside and shoot as well, so he’s a great addition.’

Everton winger Alex Iwobi has admitted that he needed to leave Arsenal to take a greater responsibility as a player.
There was a lot of speculation about whom Arsenal were signing on deadline day that most forgot that a few players were linked with a move away, especially since all the talk about the signing of David Luiz from Chelsea and Kieran Tierney from Celtic.
But one man that has departed the Emirates this summer is that of Iwobi, who was a firm fans favourite after establishing himself in the Arsenal side over the past few seasons, but was no longer needed at the Emirates.
The Gunners went and broke their club record transfer record by acquiring Nicolas Pepe for £72 million, meaning that Iwovi was well down the pecking order, and the Gunners have agreed to let the winger sign for Everton in a deal worth £35 million.
Everton’s late move for Iwobi came as they failed in their pursuit of Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, and explaining his decision to leave Arsenal, Iwobi said on the Sky Sports website: ‘The offer was too attractive for me to turn down.
‘The manager was telling me: ‘There is a spot for you, we will take care of you’. Basically, all the things you want to hear as a player. He has given me the confidence I will do well. I am ready for a new challenge and chapter in my life.
‘I always had that youngster tag at Arsenal, so hopefully, with this move I am able to make a name for myself in the Premier League and create history with Everton.
‘Hopefully, I will be able to take on a bit more responsibility and add something to the team as well.’
