Exciting star officially signs for Arsenal, Ceballos drops Gunners hint, Kanu makes big Pepe claim

Here is a roundup of the latest Arsenal news from icfootballnews.

Joe Willock has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal.

Willock, who made his debut in September 2017 in a League Cup game against Doncaster, started Arsenal’s first three Premier League games this season and his performances for the club have led to Unai Emeru nailing him down to a nice big contract.

Emery is a massive fan of the young man and firmly believes that he can become an integral part of the Gunners side over the next five years, and he has admitted just how happy he is after seeing the youngster signing the new contract with Arsenal.

‘Joe has progressed a lot in the last year,” Unai Emery said on the Arsenal website.

“He is technically strong and has shown the confidence to take responsibility and play his game whatever the occasion or opposition.

“I’m looking forward to working with to help him develop further and fulfil his potential.”

The news that he has signed a new contract is fantastic for the young man and many will be very happy to see that he has officially signed a new contract at the Emirates.

And now many will be hoping that he fully develops and turns into the type of player that many hope he will become.

On-loan Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos has admitted he is loving life in London and has dropped a massive hint over his future.

And the little midfielder was a force in the 2-1 win against Burnley at the weekend, As he dominated the midfield battle and was given a standing ovation when he was subbed off, leading many to believe that he become a great Gunners signing.

The Gunners have been missing a deep-lying playmaker since Santi Cazorla was in his pomp, but in Ceballos, fans are convinced Unai Emery might have finally found an heir to the diminutive cult hero.

And he hinted his stay in north London could be longer term and insisted he was looking forward to playing regular football over the festive period, regardless of the inclement weather.

‘I’ve been warned about the cold. But I love football here, the way they live and breathe it. I’ve never seen anything like it,’ he told the Guardian.

‘You play away and there are at least a thousand fans supporting you. ‘I don’t care if it’s raining or snowing. I’m looking forward to playing every three days over Christmas.
It’s a great experience.

‘I don’t know what I’ll say in a year but now I’m happy. They see the game like I do; I love football like they do. They respect you and a player has to feel wanted. You applaud them and they applaud you back.’

Gunners legend Kanu has claimed everyone is already scared of new Arsenal signing Nicolas Pepe.

Arsenal shocked the whole of Europe during the summer transfer window and managed to secure a transfer deal for the very impressive Nicolas Pepe, after the winger had a breakthrough season in the French League last season after netting 23-goals.

He has helped form a very exciting attack for the Gunners this season and many are tipping him to become one of the buys of the season, especially as he has the pace and skill to go along with his goal-scoring ability.

And while Pepe is yet to find the net for his new club, he has impressed former Arsenal striker Kanu with his promising early showings in the English top flight this season.

‘He’s a good player,’ Kanu told Goal.

‘He’s got fast feet and I think he can unlock teams. He can score and he can assist. ‘The league here is totally different from every other league so it takes time for somebody coming in to perform the way they have for their other clubs but I think he will do well for us because now he is getting more game time and I believe he will complement the other two strikers.

‘If you watch him you can see he is a really good footballer and his feet are very quick. He is going to score goals and he is going to play well.

‘I believe that teams are already afraid of him after a few games. ‘They are scared of what he can do and what he can offer. He’s a very good addition.’
