There have been some shock reports in the media which have claimed Manchester United have made contact with Chelsea about a possible deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko and submitted and enquiry for the midfielder.

However, there has been a lot of transfer speculation in the media over the past few months which have suggested that French giants PSG may be interested in trying to take him to Ligue 1 this summer, with an offer of around £25 million on the cards.
Chelsea are unable to sign any players this transfer window, but Blues boss Frank Lampard already has a number of midfielders in the squad, meaning that he would be open to the idea of selling.
But according to reports on the RMC website, United have made contact with Chelsea about a possible deal for the Frenchman as they line-up an immediate replacement for Paul Pogba.
But the report has also suggested that Arsenal are interested in trying to sign the midfielder, with Unai Emery keen to add a pit of power to his midfield.
Arsenal have been urged to sign Ajax skipper and Manchester United target Matthijs de Ligt before he makes the move to Juventus, by former Gunners ace Paul Mariner.
There has been a lot of speculation in the media about whom the Red Devils will try and acquire over the course of the next few transfer windows in order to get past Manchester City for that Premier League tile.
And one name that is reportedly high up on the shopping list is that of De Ligt, the Ajax Captain who helped the Dutch side win the League title for the first time in five years and also reach the Champions League semi-finals.
It has been confirmed that De Ligt will be leaving Ajax over the next few months as he seeks that step up in the game, with reports suggesting Juventus are all set to wrap up a deal for the young man.
But Mariner has claimed that De Ligt is the type of player that Unai Emery could build a team around, telling the ESPN website: “The one thing that they need is a central defender. There’s a guy floating around, he’s not quite signed for Juve, he’s not quite signed for Barca, whoever you want to talk to.
“The young Ajax player, he’s terrific. That’s exactly what you want. He’s a young kid, you can build a side around him.
“Ten years you’d get out of him, he’s a fantastic footballer. Go and start from those areas because in most Arsenal fans’ opinion, at the back is where they need to build.
“[Laurent] Koscielny is just going over the hill now. Signing somebody like that is a statement signing.
“But it’s never going to happen, I wish it would. Absolutely [he would be worth it].”
Celtic boss Neil Lennon has delivered the latest on Arsenal target Kieran Tierney’s future, as the Gunners are keen to complete a transfer deal this summer.
With Unai Emery seeking to bolster his squad this summer with the kind of transfer budget that a Championship side may have, there has been about of transfer speculation about whom he could bring in over the next few months.
And one name that has been linked with a possible move to the Emirates is that of Tierney, the Celtic star that has reportedly impressed the Spanish boss over the course of the last 12 months.
It is believed that Arsenal have already had a £15 million offer rejected by the Scottish side, as they seek to get around £35 million for their rising star, a fee that is starting to put off Arsenal.
“I have taken no notice of the headlines,” Lennon said on the Daily Express website. “I am well aware of where we are in terms of the situation.
“I spoke to Kieran in Austria and to be honest I haven’t really seen much of him because he came back early for rehab, so has not been on the training ground as yet.
“It can be an unsettling period for any player and that is understandable but until a club comes up with any sort of realistic valuation of the player we don’t have to do anything and we won’t.
“It’s as you were. Kieran is getting on with his rehabilitation and we are getting on with what we have to do here.”

With Arsenal looking to revamp the side in the coming transfer window and acquire some players that will help the side get back into winning the Premier League, there has been a lot of speculation about whom the Gunners could try and acquire.
And one name that has been linked with a possible move to the Emirates is that of Meunier, who is seen as the ideal back-up of replacement for Spanish full-back Hector Bellerin, who has been plagued by injuries over the past few seasons.
The Belgian is in the final year of his contract and has been out of favour at the Ligue 1 champions this term, and recent reports claimed that Arsenal have already made contact in a bid to convince Meunier to make a move to London rather than Manchester.
But now he has told both United and Arsenal that he wants to stay with the French Champions.
