Midfielder signs with the Arsenal, Would fans welcome German as talks in progress, Agent confirms Arsenal talks for defender, midfielder ‘to leave for right money in Arsenal news of the week
Partey will move for right money, Would fans welcome Boateng?, Agent confirms Rrahmani talks, Midfielder Nobbs signs up in Arsenal news of the week
Thomas Partey will leave Atletico Madrid as soon as the price is right, the midfielder’s father Jacob has told Arsenal.
The season may be suspended until further notice, the worlds headlines may be dominated by the Coronavirus, and Mikel Arteta may be worrying about whether or not the club will get a chance to finish the current season, but that has not stopped transfer speculation.
Arsenal know that they may need to prepare for next season as this year may be over, and that means that the club will need to get into that transfer kitty early in the summer and sign players that they believe, will make an impact in the side next season.
And the club have been linked with a move for Partey for many years now, and have once again showed a keen interest in a possible deal, as the 26-year-old has been in impressive form for the Spanish side and starred in their win over Liverpool in the Champions League earlier in the season
recent reports on Corriere dello Sport claimed he is now “one step away” from a transfer move to the Emirates, as the reports suggests that Arsenal have left a £43.3 million offer on the table for the Spaniards to accept.
Now amid all the speculation, his father, Jacob Partey told Bryt FM: “I will advise him on any day to move from Atletico Madrid when there is big money because that is his chosen job.
“The truth is that there is life after football. As a father, I always want the best for my son; I don’t want him to struggle when he calls it a day.
“So, if a club decides to sign him and the money involved is good, I will advise him to move.
“It will be prudent for my son to make a move that will make him rich and also do investments.”
Amir Rrahmani’s agent has revealed that Arsenal expressed an interest in the defender before he completed a move to Napoli.
With Mikel Arteta looking to spend some serious money during the summer transfer window, there was some speculation in the media that the Gunners Boss is seeking to add some world class defenders to his squad, with Umtiti high up on the shopping list.
Arsenal may be in the top halve of the Premier League, but they have already shipped too many goals this season and are in need of adding an experienced defender to that back-line in order to shore the the defence for next season.
The 26-year-old centre-back joined Hellas Verona on a four-year contract last summer and his outstanding performances in Serie A immediately caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs.
With Verona boasting one of the best defensive records in the Italian top flight, Napoli decided to make their move for Rrahmani and shelled out €14million (£12m) for his signature towards the end of the January transfer window, meaning Arsenal failed to get their man.
And now his agent has opened up and revealed that Arsenal did show an interest in trying to get a deal done: ‘Arsenal observed Amir, as they have done with other players who play in the Italian championship,’ Rrahmani representative Adrian Aliaj told Sports ne KTV.
‘But they have not made any phone calls or official proposals.
‘Then there were two Bundesliga teams and a Spanish one on the boy: a sports director also called us, and we talked with him about concrete things.’
Reports in the media have claimed Arsenal are in talks over a deal for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, but would he be a good buy?
Now Look, There has been so much speculation and rumours in the media over the past few weeks about whom Mikel Arteta will sign in the summer, to sort his dodgy back-line out, to improve that midfield area, and a possible replacement to come in and possibly replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is destined to leave the club.
But there has also been constant rumours that Arsenal are interested, maybe even desperate, to sign up the impressive Dayot Upamecano, who is easily regarded as one of the finest young centre-backs in the game having helped RB become a very exciting, and entertaining to watch.
But although he has a £53million (€60m) release clause in his contract, which expires in the summer of 2021, Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche believes the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic means no club will move for the defender, meaning the Gunners could move for Boateng.
Now, According to recent reports on Soccer Link, the Gunners are in advanced discussions with Boateng to bring him to the Emirates, as Bayern Munich director Hasan Salihamidzic apparently wants to freshen up their squad and is ready to move the 31-year-old on.
He has enjoyed a remarkably successful career in Germany but has struggled for form recently. Nonetheless, this has not put Arsenal off the 31-year-old, with recent reports suggesting that Arteta will offer him a short-term deal if the opportunity is there to bring him to the Premier League.
His leadership, his ball-playing ability and his top-level experience is something that clubs would love to take advantage of, and with a number of younger players coming through the ranks, he could be a solid player to have in the squad.
Arsenal Women vice-captain Jordan Nobbs has signed a new contract with the club.
The England international has made 206 appearances to date, scoring 66 goals since joining from Sunderland in 2010, and during her time with the club, Nobbs has won the Barclays FA Women’s Super League title three times, the Women’s FA Cup four times, and the FA Continental Tyres League Cup five times.
There had been some speculation that she could be tempted with a move away from the club at the end of the season, as the money grows in the womens game, the big contract offers have been tempting top players to make moves, but that is not the case with Nobbs.
And she has opened up and admitted her delight at signing the new deal with the club: “Arsenal is my everything now,” Nobbs told the club’s official website.
“I think football has overtaken my life since the age of seven, but I think I’ve got Arsenal in my blood now and I’m very proud to say that. I think I’ve got some great years to come.”

Head coach Joe Montemurro said: “Putting football aside, she personifies what Arsenal means. To have players staying here for pretty much their whole career is something that’s very, very special from a coaching perspective.
“They’re unique situations in coaching and in forming groups to have players who are ingrained in the fabric of the club and we wish her all the best going forward. She’s an important part of our making as a squad.”
