Arsenal closing in on £48M signing after Gunners open talks to sign game-changer

ARSENAL are reportedly in talks with the agent of Nico Williams and are prepared to match the release clause to sign him from Athletic Club this January window as cover for the injured Bukayo Saka.

Nico Williams is one of the most talked about wingers in the game right now and is a player that have been linked with some of the games biggest clubs because of that £53 million release clause.

ARSENAL have been linked with a move to the Emirates for the past few weeks as it has been claimed on numerous occasions that Mikel Arteta is a massive fan of the Spanish star and is ready to pay big money to get a deal done.

Interest from Arsenal over a deal for Williams has dyed down towards the end of the summer transfer window as Williams’ apparent preference to stay in Spain, but according to rumours – the Gunners, who are willing to meet his £48million release clause, could make a fresh move in the January window.

That is because Bukayo Saka will be out of action for quite some time after picking un an injury and Arteta wants to sign a player that will add a bit of magic to the attack for the remainder of the season.

Nico Williams is a brilliant attacker that would be a brilliant addition to that Gunners side and to be honest – we believe that ARSENAL would be getting a game-changing player if they manage to secure a deal for the man.

However – he knows that when Saka is signed he may not be the regular starter that he wants to be with all the quality that Arsenal have, and to be honest, we believe that he would prefer to join a club in La Liga.
