Announcement imminent – £100,000-a-week Arsenal deal ‘business sense’ fans told

nketiah

Danny Mills insists Arsenal is keeping Eddie Nketiah because it makes more business sense to keep him at the club

Nketiah is a man that has been impressing in recent weeks and there are many fans out there that believe that he should be offered a new contract to stay at the club for the forsee-able future.

It is believed that he is holding out – and Arsenal are holding out – until the end of the season to discuss whether or not he should stay at the club – as he wants to be a big part of the side next season

However, it is widely expected that Mikel Arteta will bring in a new striker that will be the main man at the Emirates next season – meaning that Nketiah would probably be shifted down to the bench again

But – amid all the speculation and all the rumours – it has been claimed in the media that Nketiah has been convinced of his future at the Emirates and has now agreed to sign a new contract at the club.

The reports add that Arsenal wanted him to stay ‘at all costs’ after an impressive end to the season, which saw him score five goals in seven games.

And with his deal on the verge of being announced – Mills has claimed that Arsenal havedecided to get this contract wrapped up because it makes business sense – He tells Football Insider: “Arsenal are now in a situation where it’s a little bit desperate.

“If they lose Lacazette then they are going to have to pay £30million to bring a player in.

“They’ve got Nketiah there so they’re going to have to bite the bullet.

“They will say ‘We’ve got him here, we’re going to have to pay more than we want but if we don’t do that we’re going to have to pay even more to get an equal replacement’.”

There is no doubt that Nketiah is a brilliantly gifted striker that has the potential to be a massive player for the Gunners – if he gets the game time he needs

Fans will be happy that he is about to sign – but lets see how much game time he gets next season
