Spaniards have offered Arsenal chance to sign midfielder for just £40 million

It has been claimed that Barcelona have offered midfielder Frenkie De Jong to the likes of Arsenal in order to get rid.

ARSENAL have had a busier few transfer windows than many people expected, with a number of stars departing the club over the last few windows, and a number of players making their ways to the Emirates.

There was also speculation in the media that a number of world class Barcelona stars were also players that Arsenal were interested in signing, but were unable to get any deals done as they wanted to stay at the Camp Nou.

However – The Catalan club continue to find themselves in a financial mess as they are still operating above the La Liga-imposed annual spending limit.

And according to a recent report on Sport, the club is ready to sacrifice an important piece of the jigsaw. The decision will be taken by sporting director Deco, who will look to sell among players who have had the least minutes.

Reports El Nacional in Spain state that Barcelona are desperate to sell Frenkie de Jong and have thus offered him to multiple clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United as they seek to get £40 million for the midfielder.

ARSENAL have been signing some quality players over the last few windows and adding players to the side that have been making a real difference to the side. If there is a chance to sign De Jong – they should take it.

He is a world class player that could be the ideal long-term replacement for the ageing Jorginho – who will surely depart the club in the summer of 2025.

However – if Arteta feels that Arsenal would be good for De Jong – then we are sure that a move for the player will be made by the Gunners.
