Arsenal ‘open talks’ with Real Madrid about £40 million James deal?

Fresh reports have again claimed Arsenal have made contact in a bid to sign Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez.

Real Madrid star Rodriguez, who is currenly on a two-year loan spell with Bayern Munich’ is reportedly not keen on rejoing the Spanish giants at the end of the season after reigniting his career at Bayern, and his considering his options.

Both Liverpool and Manchester United have long been linked with a move for the Colombian International, but with both clubs looking to improve in other areas of the squad, that has reportedly left Arsenal boss Unai Emery with a free run to try and sign him up.

And according to reports on the Independedant, the Gunners have made contact with Bayern about a possible deal for the £40 million rated Colombian, as they seek an immediete replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey.

However, there has been many reports over the past few days which have suggested James has no intention of leaving Bayern this January, and the German Champions want to keep hold for the remainder of the season to see if he can impress enough to earn a permanent move to the Bundesliga.

Can Arsenal really complete a deal for Robriguez?

Arsenal are now on a mission to get back challenging for the premier League title and know signing players of Rodriguez’s quality to key to challenging Liverpool and Manchester City for that title.

And if reports are true and Arsenal are looking to close this deal, then it would be a fantasic signing for Emery as the Colombian is just the sort of superstar signing that would have a huge impact on the side, both on and orr the pitch
