Arteta told possible £85M Arsenal signing ‘can be the greatest in the world’

Arsenal target Victor Osimhen can be the greatest striker in the world, according to Chelsea icon Didier Drogba.

There has been so much speculation around Arsenal transfers in the summer window that fans are starting to get fed up of all the rumours, but since there is not any football going on, there isnt much news around.

Gabriel Jesus is a player that fans are getting very excited about – but there are many out there that still believe that Mikel Arteta needs to add a big and powerful striker – not a forward that is in the same mould as the rest of his attack

That has led to reports in the media which have claimed that Osimhen is a player that the club are very much interested in signing – although the rumours have died down in recent weeks

Recent reports in the media have claimed that the Napoli forward wants a move to the Premier League this summer, as it is his dream to play in the English game – but a move wont come cheap for the club

It has also been claimed that Napoli are demanding a fee of £85 million for their star man as they have no intention of letting him depart the club

Osimhen has just ended the campaign with 18 goals in 32 appearances for Napoli, while he has scored 24 goals in 51 Serie A games since moving to Italy – so the Italians feel that he would be very hard to replace

But amid all the rumours that Arsenal may still try to make a move – Drogba has come out and told the likes of Mikel Arteta – and any other boss that is eyeing up Osimhen – that he has the potential to become the greatest striker in the world

He said to calciomercato: “Osimhen? I really like. Oh yeah, he’s a great striker. Can he become one of the greatest in the world?

“Yes it is possible, in football everything is possible. When you have a talent like his, I think it’s just a question of momentum.”
